I had never booked through Viator before and so I was hesitant/nervous about how this would go. To say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. Our tour guide Elena was phenomenal!!! She was so knowledgeable, enthusiastic and friendly with everyone. The tour in Marano was really nice. After a 10 minute glass blowing demonstration, we had about an hour to walk around the island and admire all the amazing glass works of art. Next we went to Burano and that was the real gem of the tour. The island is full of brightly painted homes. There are amazing shops, restaurants and gelato to be eaten. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone and if you’re lucky enough to get Elena as your tour guide, you’ll have an even more incredible time!

This was a great tour to get away from Venice proper for a little while and see some other islands in the area. The tour of the glass factory on Murano was very interesting. The glass creations were breath-taking! Burano was also wonderful. The colors on the island are so different and refreshing from the other places we visited. The lace-work was beautiful and intricate. Francisca Gin was our guide and she was very entertaining with her stories while traveling to and from the islands. Highly recommend!

When you want to visit Venice, I would advise to stay in Murano. Murano is less crowded as Venice and super romantic. There are also many nice restaurants in Murano, better than in Venice. The island is only 10min boattrip (public boat transport) from Venice and 20-30min from Burano and from the airport.

Anna was our tour guide and was fabulous. We went to Murano and Burano as a group day tour from Venice and both were so great. The glass blowing demonstration in Murano was amazing. Anna was knowledgeable and fun. Highly recommend.

Amazing tour! Sylvia was a funny, knowledgeable, amazing guide, and the tour was very well done. The ride to both islands contained cool info, then the glass and lace demonstrations were fascinating. I didn’t feel pressured to buy things, but I did buy a beautiful table cloth in Burano. We did the 2:30 tour, which was nice bc we got to see Burano as it closed up. The streets were more empty, and it was nice to be there later in the day. I read a lot of reviews before booking this one, and this one is definitely worth booking! On the way back, she added lots of facts about the other islands we passed, and we were lucky enough to see migrating flamingos. Two thumbs up for the entire experience!

Elly and Elena were fabulous tour guides. Elly was extremely energetic and entertaining with facts about the region and Venetian culture. My struggle with the tour was that it was scheduled originally for the morning. However due to a boat race they had to reschedule to later in the day which meant that when we arrived in Burano the island was shutting down for the day so the shops and some restaurants such as the gelato place they highly recommended were closed. Even the public facilities were closed at 5:30. The boat race should have been known long before the week of the tour and planned around long before. We were left with no other alternative about rebooking. The tour was fantastic and so were the guides but the poor planning made us give this a low rating.

Great tour. Very well organized. Ellena was a very good guide. Visited a glass fabric. They were not pushy selling. Wish I had more time to explore the islands.

What a great way to see both islands. If you are looking to buy either glass or lace I highly recommend buying on the islands versus Venice. Our tour guide Cecilia was delightful and very knowledgeable.
