Gain insight into the rise of the Nazi party during World War II on a full-day combo tour of Munich. The day starts with our guided tour to Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site, where the genocide of the Third Reich (Nazi Germany) started, and hear about those who were imprisoned there. We follow this up with a 2.5-hour walking tour of sites associated with Adolf Hitler and the Nazis in the old town of Munich. See historical buildings such as the former secret police headquarters and learn all about the city during these dark days.
Please note: the Dachau Memorial Site does not permit children under 13 to attend this tour.

WOW. If you get a chance to do this tour do it!! If you are lucky enough to get Mat for the Dachau tour you will not be disappointed. So much information but given in a concise and informative manner. The second part was the walking tour of the Third Reich. Josh, the tour guide, did not disappoint!! He too provided information along with pictures in such a manner that you kept you interested and wanting more. I applaud both of these men for making a tour about a horrific time in history informative and captivating.

We did the full day WWII tour, including Dachau and Third Reich. We were with Nick in the morning, then Josh in the afternoon. Both were incredible guides - we learned a ton and had a great day despite the weather! Check in with Radius Tours was easy and in a convenient location (near the central train station). Highly recommend this tour with either Nick or Josh!

Wasn’t sure what to expect on this tour. We arrived at the booking office and were warmly greeted and checked in. Nick was our guide for the day and he didn’t disappoint. He was full of useful facts and knew the history very well…so much so that I left with a better understanding of both Dachau and Munich in general. If you are a World War 2 enthusiast….this tour is for you. Dachau is a very humbling place. Be prepared to walk….a lot….on this tour!!! Overall Nick was a great host and I highly recommend getting him if you can!!

The subject matter is very sobering. However, Sam, our guide, was a treasure trove of knowledge regarding Dachau and the rise of Nazism in the last century. He did not gloss over anything, but did not let the subject become overwhelming.
Highly recommended!

We did the combination of visiting Dachau in the morning and the Third Reich Walking Tour in the afternoon. It made for a very full day but the hour or so break in between let you recharge your batteries, which was nice. Both facets of the tour were excellent and highly recommend but the Third Reich Walking Tour with Steve was unquestionably the highlight for us. He was a wealth of information, with his decades of studying the period clearly on display.
Although it didn't bother me in the slightest, be aware that your time at Dachau is limited so you can't / won't look at all the displays and artifacts in the on-site museum. If that sort of thing is important to you, a self-guided tour would probably be best.

A must do tour, if you are visiting Munich! The tour guide was exceptionally knowledgeable about WWII history. I learned so much on this tour despite knowing a lot about WWII and the Holocaust myself. Both the tour of the concentration camp and the tour of Munich's WWII sites was very well done.

Excellent Tour! On this combi Tour I had two tours. My tour guide in the morning, a Spanish lady Lucia took us to Dachau. She was amazing! She was kind and knowledgeable and put the horrific events that took place there in historic and social context. In the afternoon I had Josh, a native german. He took us around the Nazi party historic landmarks. The party started in Munich and many of the keys places where key events took place are in Munich. He again put things in perspective, from a German view point. He was incredibly knowledgeable about all the facts. Josh made sure not to glorifiy these people. He used the tour as an important warning. I would highly recommend this tour!

Lucia was informative and friendly. There is so much to absorb in the time we had so she chose the original parts of the site. It would have been good to have had slightly longer at the end of the formal part to wander alone.

Was a very informative and interesting tour, Tom the guide was absolutely amazing, really knew how to guide the tour very respectfully for such a sensitive and heavy part of history

Franz was an excellent guide for Dachau and really painted the picture of how Hitler rose to power and his meticulous approach to lead to the creation of concentration camps and death camps. Learned a great deal while viewing this somber memorial site. Iain was our guide for WWII walking portion. He was also knowledgeable and very good. Two notes: this tour uses public transportation to get to/from Dachau and if it’s busy, that can be problematic for a group so big. We could not get the direct bus to Dachau as a group of students consumed that space, so had to walk extra to get there, which consumed your time. The pace was a bit slow as group size is too big (some with mobility issues), and no ear pieces are used, so you must strain to hear what’s being said. Overall, enjoyed the tours. Would have preferred a smaller group size and dedicated transportation. Be aware that it is a long day with around 6 hours of walking to do both tours in a day (we’re all 60+ but no issues with that).
