Venture north over the Golden Gate Bridge to an isolated canyon filled with ancient coastal redwood trees, also known as Muir Woods National Monument. Enjoy solitude and peace, through the cool, moist air, as you stroll through 1000-year-old trees towering 260 feet tall. An early start at 8.30am but worth it. The tour driver was funny and knowledgeable. The woods were stunning. We also bought tickets for the ferry, well worth the extra price as it was a sunny day and the views as you cross the water are lovely.

Pickup directions were clear, and the your was as described. Driver was chatty, but mostly entertaining. Muir woods was cool. Sausalito was ok. Wish there was some options to spend a bit more time at both, but I thought the tour gave enough time to get a feel for each.

I would definitely recommend this tour 100%
Our driver Lester was wonderful and shared so much interesting facts about different locations throughout our drive.
Muir Forest was amazing , it is wonderful and amazing.
Sausalito is pretty there are shops, restaurants and views . I recommend Sausalito Tacos great food, service and atmosphere.
If you’re not pressed for time take the Ferry back, this gives more time to explore and enjoy your experience. The ferry ride to the pier provides so many photo opportunities, I took some of my best pictures of the Golden Gate bridge.
Enjoy!

Traveled from the Midwest with my two grandsons and Muir Woods was a great historic adventure from San Francisco. They got a kick out of our guide Patrick as much as the majestic setting!

Loved seeing Golden Gate Bridge, having 90 minutes at beautiful Muir Woods and seeing Sausalito. Mr. Brown, our driver was very informative and helpful. Had our 15 and 17 year old with us and they loved it too.

Lester was great. Gave us lots of information on the way to the woods. Definitely would book again. The weather wasn't great but it made the experience in the woods even better!

Our tour guide was really great. Maybe Pat? He remembers everyone by their state.. A bit loud but otherwise likes his job for sure. Muir Woods was nice and the ferry from Salsalito was nice too.

Lester, our driver/guide, was very funny and charming. He really set the tone for a fun tour. Muir Woods itself was majestic and absolutely beautiful. It was the best part of our trip to SF. **Something to keep in mind if you’re on a schedule: this tour is longer than the booking description by over an hour because it’s not a drive through the town as advertised, they actually stop in Sausalito for 30-45 minutes on the way back to SF.**

Me and my friends went for a hike in Muir woods last December and had a great time. The treks are well maintained and lots of interesting information provided on the way. The Redwoods look so amazing and I found the whole experience spiritually uplifting. Looking forward to go there again
