Enjoyed the African dances, the history and lunch. I did not like how you are expected to keep providing tips for everything we did including taking pictures. We already paid $160 pp . At the mud you had to tip the massage person in the mud, the women who washed it off, the people taking the pictures. Everything was about money and kind of took away from the experience a little for me. They tell you to bring money souvenirs. Not vendors to purchase from . The money really is for tips. Too many interperators.

The truth is, the tour is full of a lot of culture, gastronomy and nature. From the arrival at the Totumo volcano, where we were able to spend a very pleasant and fun time, immersing ourselves in the mud, we then arrived at the beautiful community of Palenque that captivated us with its spectacular culture and gastronomy. You should definitely live this experience and have a very pleasant and fun day.

From start to finish it was a fantastic experience, the host Leo was very friendly and knowledgeable about both experiences we had. The volcano was great and it was unlike anything I had experienced before, not to mention the tour in Palenque. The guide was very charismatic and you could tell that he loves his culture because he transmitted that to us all. The food was delicious, both the typical fried foods and the lunch. 100% recommended if you want to live a different experience full of details that make you understand the culture and traditions of the place you visit. Just don't waste the opportunity to experience it! :)

If you looking for something different and exciting in Cartengena, book this experience! We definitely had the lucky chance to be the only guest on this excursion! So it’s safe to say that we had VIP Access (so what I think) the whole day. Our amazing guide Leo was very knowledgeable, helpful, and kind during our time. We had amazing conversation and food thru out the day. I learned so much diverse history about the Palenque community. BOOK THIS EXPERIENCE, I promise this one will forever be a favorite memory.

I absolutely loved this combo tour for the Totumo mud volcano and Palenque. Everything worked out perfectly. I was picked up on time by my guide (and translator) Miguel. We had a great conversation as we traveled to Totumo volcano and he explained to me in detail what to expect etc. I’m so happy the tour started early because I had the entire mud bath to myself which made for a very pleasant experience. The deep tissue massage offered at the volcano was very good! Much better than I actually thought it would be (actually better than I’ve received at many spas). There’s also someone available (for a tip) to take your photos and to assist you at the lake to wash the mud off. And all of the people I interacted with were very professional and easy to work with. The coconut and Colombian food provided afterward were also very good.

Next we traveled to Palenque and I had so much fun learning about the culture and history of this place. We saw a lot so definitely wear comfortable walking shoes! The dance performance was very exciting to watch. You will go to different parts of the town to see the candy shop, boxing club/gym, music studio and chat with an herbalist/ doctor from the area.
Overall the entire experience was 10:10 and I highly recommend booking this tour coordinated by Leandro and Miguel.

Amazing experience. Tour in Palenque was led by a native which brought a great insight and perspective of the community. Leo was a great host. Food was good and transportation was comfortable. Long day but worth it.

It is not the first time I have booked with Leo because he is a great host who is well known in the city, he is a trustworthy person. The organization of the experience was perfect and I enjoyed every moment. It is great to be able to relax in a place with lots of nature and also visit San Basilio de Palenque in the same day, rest, culture, dance and food, very good food, highly recommended.

Let me express how exceptional this experience truly was. From the very beginning, you feel remarkably well cared for, knowing that Miguel and Leo's team are consummate professionals. The mud volcano, along with immersing oneself in nature within a rudimentary environment, breaks the monotony of typical urban settings. Witnessing the authenticity of Colombia along the journey and feeling the warmth of the local people infuses you with a profound appreciation for culture and the importance of embracing our roots. It's in these simple yet significant moments that one finds true greatness. My heart was filled with immense joy; this isn't merely a tour, but a genuine and enriching experience. I wholeheartedly recommend it without hesitation.
