Well organised transport to Monserrat. Everything was on time. We went at 8:00 and came back at 13:00, it gave us 3 hours in Montserrat.
I recommend starting with Funicular de Sant Joan to go up at 10 when the queue is not long yet.

Our tour bus was on time and parked just to the side of the park opposite the Arc De Triomph.
We were self guided but the tour guide Miri was present on the bus and was very informative and pleasant.
The journey to Montserrat was roughly 1 hour and we were fearing the worst for the experience as the fog and mist was covering all of the mountain and the surrounding areas in the distance as we approached.
Upon arriving we made a right turn when leaving the car park and took a long walk down a path leading us to a dead end with a view into the distance, it was still foggy so not a lot could be seen.
After turning back we did in fact head in the right direction to walk up the mountain. After many steps we began to breach through the fog and the beauty of the mountain emerged. It was like walking through into a different climate as suddenly the heat and sunshine shone on us. Perfect blue skies were everywhere and the abstract structure of the mountain was breathtaking.
Perhaps due to our mistake earlier on we didn’t have the time to go right to the top of the mountain so at some point had to turn back on ourselves to ensure we got back to the bus for 11.40.
The experience was great and I would definitely go again.

We had a lot of fun going on a tour with Carlos. He explained the history about Montserrat in detail and left us with enough time to tour on ourselves. This tour is perfect for visitors without transportation.

Good transport and beautiful view from the bus and also from the basílica. Our guide Carolina was very nice. If you want to visit the basílica you have to pay 8€ but it worths it.
