Great day at Montserrat! I enjoyed that we began our time as a group, so we could learn the history and get our bearings. Then we had about two hours to explore on our own, which was wonderful. Daniel and Felipe were great guides. Highly recommend.

Loved the unique rock formation in Montserrat. The Basilica is worth a visit, plus it has the famous Black Madonna statue ( a unique thing in itself). A stroll in the farmers market is really worth your time. Friendly people with local products. The hike to the top to see the view was really challenging. But there is a funicular too, to go to the top.
We read that Montserrat is a must visit place while in Barcelona. I'm glad we did it.

Well organized and well paced. The views from atop the mountain were breathtaking. Enough free time to hike to the cross at the top of the mountain and grab lunch before we left. Our guides, Frances and Daniel, both were well informed and added value to the experience. Their personalities complimented one another well.
