Upon arrival, board the cogwheel train to the Monastery and marvel at the stunning views along the way. My husband, a friend, and myself booked a tour of Montserrat on 4/6, that included a winery tour and lunch. Marak ( Merak) was our tour guide and he was PHENOMENAL! During the conversation we learned that he had lived in Yuma, AZ which was cool being that we were from Arizona as well! Merak had a wealth of knowledge, an incredible personality, and kept our day fun and interesting. We had done several tours while in Europe and this one was by far the best, thanks to Merak!

Great guide and spectacular views! Honestly I was impressed by how many things we got to see and do on this tour. Our guide gave us great insight into Montserrat history and local history as well. This full day experience has been amazing! We visited Montserrat mountain early in the morning. You could feel the religious vibes of the monastery and its surroundings. Some of the home-made liquors we got to try were a bit strong in my opinion but the rest was great! Great experience to escape from the city and take a ride throughout history!
