Mont Saint Michel Tour From Paris

I loved going on this tour, and it was definitely worth the small splurge for me! Our guide, Lélia, was lovely. She is knowledgeable of the area and very friendly. We visited St. Malo, Mont Saint Michel, and Dinan. The tour was the perfect mix of independent and guided exploring; we got to talk with our guide in our car rides between locations and then upon arrival we were left with maps and suggested itineraries, free to roam as we wished! I can’t say enough good things, thank you for this experience!

Our trip was exceptional in every way. The train was on time and comfortable, our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. We loved our time in Saint Mayo and Mont Saint Michel. And, the weather was perfect!

We took the full day trip from Paris to Mont Saint-Michel and back with Paris City Vision. What a remarkable day. A long bus ride each way, but with a stop there and back to get some snacks and freshen up. We were given time to explore the Abbey perched high atop the hill of the tidal island. An unforgettable experience.

We had a wonderful trip from Paris to the Normandy area. We stayed in Bayeux in the Domain de Bayeux. It is a beautiful hotel, very conveniently located. We had rooms in the both the new and the old part of the hotel and both areas were beautiful.

We went to Mont St. Michel the first day and the Normandy beaches the next. Our tour guide was Sabrina and she was great. She has a van big enough for our group of 11 which was quite unusual. On top of that, she was very informative, lives in the area and took us to areas we might not have seen otherwise. The restaurant she chose near Omaha beach was local and really excellent! Both days were fantastic.

Laura, with Link Paris, arranged everything for us. The train from Paris and back, the hotel, the tours... everything was booked for us and went without a hitch. She also gave us recommendations on places to eat and things to see. Don't miss the Bayeux Tapestry - it is worth the visit!

This was one of our favorite parts of our trip to Paris. When we are in France again, we plan to visit this area again and stay longer. It is beautiful, has so much history as was such a nice place to explore that all of us want to go back. We will use Link Paris again for the arrangements as we were very happy with how smoothly everything went, even with our large group.

This was an excellent day trip! Train from Paris with sunrise, then met tour guide in St. Malo, who introduced us to the city and some of the high points to explore. Then off to Mont Saint Michel along the Emerald Coast. Tour guide shared history of the area as well as pointed out interesting things to see along the way - beautiful farmland, coast, and small towns. Our guide took us through a backroad so we could see Mont Saint Michel from west side, then plenty of time at Mont Saint Michel. Then off to Dinan for some more walking and exploring before taking train back to Paris.
So glad we did this tour instead of bus with MSM only.

On this tour, we visited three sites: St Malo, Mont Sant-Michel and Dinan. To call this a tour is a stretch. The travel arrangements were fine. We had a 45 minute delay on the way out and a 2 hours delay on the way back to Paris. That made a long day even longer. I don't fault the tour company or the rail system for the cause of the delays.

Our tour guide was really more of a driver. He took us to three place, gave us a map and told us when to be back to the van. We are accustomed to tours meaning the guide takes us through the place and describes what we're seeing. St Malo was interesting but we just had enough time to walk the ramparts and return to the van. Mont Sant-Michel saved the trip. It was as magnificent as described and we had the time to walk through and read the brochure that described spots along the way. Unfortunately, the timing was such that we had to choose between seeing the Abbey and eating lunch. It's a good thing we brought snacks. Our last stop in Dinan was a waste. We got to Dinan after 5pm on a Monday and everything was closed. We walked up a steep climb after having already walked all day. The church was a pleasant surprise but I fear we couldn't fully appreciate because we were worn out from the climb.

I feel like we could have been better served by making our own arrangements to get to Mont Sant-Michel, spending 4-5 hours there and returning to Paris.

Link Paris did an outstanding job of organizing the day. Our guide Marc knew the area extremely well and provided us with great directions and maps, so that we could explore on our own. Marc was always ready to take us on to the next site and share his knowledge of the area. It was an outstanding day. I would recommend it to anyone interested in seeing this area of Brittany.

Marc is an excellent tour guide and shared so much information about Mont St. Michel, St. Malo, and Dinan. He also pointed out many interesting features and explained a lot of history and facts about Brittany during the drives between the sites.

As I’m sure we have all unfortunately experienced during Covid, there are numerous companies in the travel industry which have pocketed our money while we got nothing. I’m happy to share, however, that Link Paris refunded the cost of my cancelled trip abroad in-full, within a week, courteously, and with no argument. In fact, after my refunded costs, I got a personalized follow-up phone call just to chat. I cannot say enough how much I appreciate their customer service and upstanding business practice. It’s a rare thing these days. They’re a class act.
