Take a stroll through the commercial and political centre of 18th and 19th century Lisbon. It was in this direction that the city expanded from the hill of the Castle. Get to know the downtown area (“Baixa Pombalina”) accurately rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake, which had its epicentre in the Arch of Rua Augusta and kept Carmo on its feet, despite the catastrophe. Have a close look at the wonders of the Portuguese baroque in the Church of São Roque and move up into the 19th century in Chiado. As distinguished and bourgeois as its cafés, theatres, bookshops and art deco façades that stretch through Príncipe Real, the city’s trendiest quarter, and the amazing S. Pedro de Alcântara Garden. Just across the street, take a look at the popular Bairro Alto, which completely changes at night. We stop for a few minutes at the picturesque Rua da Bica and then at the Adamastor viewpoint to feel the Tejo estuary in all its splendour and we go down towards the National Parliament.

Raquel Periera has got to be the best tour guide ever . She clearly loves her job, has great energy and is extremely knowledgeable. She gave us a lot of time, took us all over Lisbon and was extremely patient with kids. Great peoples skills , exceeded only by her photography skills . Highly recommended.

Frederico Carvalho was absolutely amazing. We have been travelling all over Portugal from the north to Spain and back through the Algarve and then Lisbon. We did a jump on and off your prior and it sucked compared to this tour. Frederico was so knowledgeable, friendly, funny and knew his history! I'm sure like us you'll search for tuktuks and you'll have a long list of the top rated etc, but the one hr tour we got from Mon Ami was cheaper than the rest and I spent an hour looking for the best deals. The Tuk Tuk was brand new and electric so we were fully engaged in what Frederico had to say the entire time. Lisbon is full of hills so this tour is a must if you want to see the city! 100% worth your money! I asked Frederico who was better, Ronaldo or Messi and he simply replied Portugal is the the centre of the world, east to west. We all come we all go.. but definitely Ronaldo 😂😂😂👌👌👌 thanks for sharing your knowledge of Lisbon with Amanda and I! 😁😁💯💯
