Paraviajantes was supposed to pick me up at the agreed-upon pick-up spot at 7AM. I texted them the day before to confirm the time and location and got no answer, even though the company saw my message.
I was at the pick-up location at 7AM. As the transfer never seemed to arrive, I texted and called the company consistently until 8.30AM. Around that time, I received the following message from the company: “El tour en el día de hoy no sale. Tenemos recién disponibilidad para el día 13/11. Podemos ofrecerte en reemplazo safari azul. Perito moreno con navegación, glaciares gourmet o nativo experiences”.
I was left stranded in El Calfate at 8.30AM, a time at which it is extremely difficult to find a way to visit the glacier on the same day. As I could not, I lost a full day in El Calafate.
