Immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of Milford Sound during an intimate boat cruise led by a specialized Nature Guide. On board a smaller-sized vessel than typical Milford Sound cruises, enjoy indoor and outdoor observation decks that provide fantastic photo opportunities of this famous South Island natural wonder, inside New Zealand's World Heritage–listed Fiordland National Park. Stay on the water longer than most other tours, and get close to the waterfalls and other natural features that give the sound its nickname, the Eighth Wonder of the World. I enjoyed the Skipper’s commentary, the spectacular scenery and amazing waterfalls, including the ‘glacial facial’

The 1h45 tour was fantastic, the sun was up so the colours and scenery were really beautiful. The boat goes pretty close to the main waterfall so you can see them very well and take pictures.
You also have free coffee and tea, which is great because it gets pretty cold. Me and my brother had a wonderful time :)

Awesome cruise from start to finish. Milford Sound is truly a wonder of the and the cruise is the best way to see it - we had a wet day, which makes it even more epic as all the temporary waterfalls are active!

Amazing place with fantastic scenery and interesting geography. Second visit with different weather (more sun this time) enabled us to see much more of the surrounding mountains. We were only able to book a cruise with a picnic lunch at the time we wanted which increased our overall cost by £17 per person. The picnic lunch was not worth half. Unfortunately we were out of options.

Beautiful spot and not crowded at all. Leave plenty of time for the drive and remember the tunnel closes for the night if you are driving back to Te Anau or Queenstown. Lots of buses on the road.

This cruise was fine for what it was - a huge ship and several hundred passengers. Unfortunately we didn't really grasp it until we were lining up. We stayed on the top deck the entire time as the food service and bathrooms created an unpleasant odor and the views were unencumbered from this location. The cruise itself was efficient, as it made its way around the sound, to a few waterfalls and close to the edge where we could see seals. We couldn't really hear anything from the captain above the motors. We opted out of the observatory and did not eat lunch on board. If I were to do it again I would definitely opt for a substantially smaller boat/crowd. This cruise not venture very close to the ocean. We noticed other boats took passengers further out.
