This trip really was just amazing! The arrangements were seamless, views from the flight just stunning - even after enjoying NZ’s spectacular scenery for 3 weeks we weren’t prepared for such amazing sights. To top off the trip we had dolphins follow the boat’s wake on the cruise. All staff from Glenorchy Air were helpful and professional. If thinking of booking - just do it!

This was incredible! If you every do this tour absolutely take a flight to or from the sounds. It gives you such incredible views! The ride was very smooth, and so enjoyable. The pilot was very knowledgeable, friendly, and truly gave us such a smooth flight. I forget his name, but he made the trip feel very safe and lots of fun!

We were originally scheduled to fly from Milford Sound to Queenstown with another airline. When they experienced mechanical difficulties, Glenorchy stepped in and offered to take us. If you don't have a lot of experience in small planes, it can be a little unnerving at first. All of the jitters immediately disappeared as the pilot smoothly lifted off and took us on an incredible flight over the fjord and on to Queenstown. A highlight experience.

As a very nervous flyer, I reluctantly agreed to the excursion because my husband wanted to go. I am so glad we did this! Glenorchy was very organized and our pilot was friendly and professional. He gave clear safety instructions then continued to note along the flight if it was going to be bumpy and what to expect. This put me at ease and I was able to relax and enjoy the most spectacular views! Our pilot made sure both sides of the plane had views and commentary. Everyone had a window seat and we went over many glaciers on the way to Milford Sound and many waterfalls on the way back to Queenstown. I would highly recommend this day trip and would have taken another (different) day trip with Glenorchy if we had the time!

Friendly flight team. Clean moden planes. Punctual. I'm not easy to impress but both the flight views and the boat trip views were unbelievable to the point we will do it all again. The best viewing tour we have ever been on. Wow. A must do. Don't drive yourself there do the "fly there" - "cruise fly back" option.

The staff was super friendly and communicative. Queenstown airport was super easy to get in and out of. Our pilot Connor was awesome...just enough commentary to help us understand what we were looking at, but not too much to distract from the spectacle. So nice to see everything from both the air and on the water. We had a beautiful sunny day, which was a great contrast to visiting Doubtful Sound the next day in the rain. Both were spectacular! Highly recommend!!
