Enjoy a 13-hour trip to one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites, the Bernina TRAIN railway, passing before along Lake Como and a beautiful Alpine valley. We stop in a charming lakeshore village and, possibly, later by a winery or old cellar experience or a cafè!
In Tirano you have around one hour for your lunch and then we board the Bernina TRAIN that climbs the Swiss Alps.
We get off at one the highest point to enjoy snowcaps and glaciers view.
(JUST IN CASE OF SEVERE WEATHER CONDITION WE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO REACH THIS POINT AND SWITCH TO ONLY A PARTIAL RIDE OF THE BERNINA TRAIN)
Afterward we head to St. Moritz where you have about 45 minutes to explore this fashionable resort, one of the most well known in the world.
At the end of it we go back to Lake Como, through another spectacular valley in Switzerland, from where you board the regular train for a ride on your return to Milan.

Our trip with Luca to Lake Como and aboard the Bernina Express was a highlight of our trip to Italy. Luca is warm, funny, knowledgeable and an excellent guide! He arranged for us to do a cheese tasting at a charming dairy in Chiuro, which was one of our favorite stops. When a winter storm closed the road our bus was supposed to take, Luca quickly adjusted plans to make sure we enjoyed plenty of time aboard the Bernina Express and in local towns. Lake Como is beautiful and the scenery aboard the Bernina Express is spectacular. The coach we were on had windows that opened to allow us to take amazing photos. We highly recommend Luca and his tours!

This was my second time with Luca on the Bernia Express. I went once with my mother in October 2022 (with only the 2 of us) and a second time with a friend in December 2023 (with a total of 14 people). Both times were equally amazing. I was able to see both the beautiful autumn foliage and a winter wonderland. Luca is an informative and entertaining guide. The day is long, but it is wonderfully organized with stops along the way which included a wine & cheese stop on one of my trips and a stop a local store to shop for Italian foods on another trip. There is also time for quick lunch and a quick stroll around St Moritz. Luca does great with both small and large groups. I highly recommend this tour if you want to ride the Bernia Express without the hassle of planning everything yourself.

The trip was amazing! Right from the start, Luca will ensure that you do not get lost from the group. The short visit to lake como was nice and sweet. The trip isn’t that tiring and I think that anyone of any age can enjoy it. The bernina express train was majestic and fun! It was a bit sad that we were not able to see st.moritz but luca made sure to have alternative destinations instead. He also gives from time to time information about the places we pass through. I hope next time I’d be able to bring more of my friends and family to go again in this trip. Thank you!

This tour exceeded our expectations and was one of the highlights of our stay at Milan. It was amazing experience for us - such beautiful views ! Luca, our guide, is so knowledgeable and shared so much information with us throughout the tour. He is so friendly and thoughtful. He even checked if we arrived safely at Milano Centrale at the end of the tour. He was responsive to all the correspondences we sent to him. We highly recommend this tour ! Thank you Luca !

The tour was well organized from the meeting place to our train ride to meet our excellent guide LUCA..He is very knowledgeable, friendly ,game and he does not rush us.

We were lucky to have a very sunny day and clear skies (11-06-23). We were able to see the beautiful St. Moritz through the amazing Bernina Line.
Paola, our tour guide, was very nice, knowledgeable and helpful. I’ve learned a lot from her on this tour. The bitto cheese snd buckwheat pasta were very good recommendations, as well. Ivan, the driver was a very good driver. I liked how he knew all shortcuts so we were able to make it on our train in the nick of time.
I highly recommend this tour, but I feel like it would really depend on the weather if you’ll be able to actually go to St. Moritz.

Sylvia, our tour guide, was excellent. Very personable and knowledgeable., fun to be around. Our tour started at the train station in Milan and then she met us on the train. Beautiful scenery. Our train car was great, because you could open the windows to get better pictures and move around a bit. We tried some very good food that she recommended and were lucky to have her as our guide. We had a small enough group to have a very personal tour.

We had a great day from start to finish. Our guide Luca was terrific- extremely knowledgeable & passionate, as well as funny! A highlight for me was definitely the train ride to the snow covered glacier in Switzerland! The views and vistas were spectacular! I also enjoyed a stop at an unbelievable cheese/wine shop along the way.

Great trip taking in Lake Como and then onboard the Bernina Red Train, great to have a carriage on the train just for the small tour group. The guide Sylvia was very knowledgeable. The stop at St Moritz was very scenic and worth the trip.
