Gilligans' Island Luau is an intimate luau experience and is the only luau in Kihei on Maui.

Our luau is less than one quarter the size of the average luau in Hawaii. So, every seat is a great view of the show.

The show is a mesmerizing journey through various types of Polynesian culture presented in a fun and engaging format. Through storytelling, audience participation and remarkable performances, we present an experience unavailable anywhere else.

Locally owned and operated, Gilligans is located on the Maui Nui Golf Course. With our small venue, we sell out quickly. Reserve your seats today!

The food and the entertainment was lovely! The entire experience was seamless and enjoyable! It was so great to see the dancing across different geographic areas.

They split the group by VIP's (pay more) and regular guests. The supper is a buffet and while it is good, for the price of the event, there could have been better options. The desert was Costco cookies and Tuxedo cake. The entertainment was good but rushed to ensure they finished on time. The entire evening started at 5pm and ended at 7pm. More was expected for the price.

I've been to luaus in the past at big resorts, not wanting to spend a house payment with the family decided to try this for the amusement of the children. I was amazed at the perfect set up. Ease of parking access at the nearby golf course and sunset backdrop. Plus being able to truly follow along with the story, dances and history lesson as I was not looking at the back of thousand heads unlike at the resorts. The food was yummy and the drinks were colorful on many tables (I don't drink) but enjoyed my pineapple juice. Kids were highly entertained with no complaints on the food choices. I would definitely recommend to anyone on multiple points- seating, views, food, musicians and dancers !

Absolutely awful - no ambience, the entertainment, well, calling it entertainment should be a crime. Cafeteria style buffet of cold, borderline inedible food. If you’re thinking you’ll get a luau experience like you see on TV movies, you’ll be shocked at how incredibly awful this one is. I’ve had a better meal at McDonalds

This was a wonderful evening/experience. Smaller venue which in our opinion made it more of an intimate experience...closer to the entertainment, quieter and just more enjoyable overall. Meal was delicious and entertainment was exactly that....VERY entertaining. Drinks were tasty as well.

Very nice dinner and Luau show from the beginning to the end.
Because the crowd is small, every seat is a great seat and it's very well organized throughout.
Bonus experience: someone proposed, and the actors/actress got everyone involved and gave the girl an unforgettable surprise.

Arrived they messed up our seating and was put on a corner of a table. Girl said she would come back to fix the problem . Someone had our spot. No one returned. We ended up trying to eat on the corner and end of the table. Waited forever for drinks. Had a pole in our way the whole time. Looked for the girl who said she was coming back. No one had any answers. Was a little disappointed by the food. I felt like a sardine in a can. We had no room and were very cramped.I guess it just wasn’t our night. Very uncomfortable and dissatisfying night. Had the same people dancing every dance. I guess we were expecting more for our money. Don’t get me wrong. Some of the dancing was absolutely wonderful. But I don’t think I would suggest anyone go here based off our experience.

Lovely performances by all the dancers and musicians - just beautiful! Food was the issue for me as I requested a gluten-free meal on my ticket purchase, due to my very severe wheat/gluten allergy, and was thrilled to be able to specify it for my meal on the purchase of the tickets so I could be low key about it in the moment and plan ahead. The hostess and waiter each had no idea about it, however, and they kept sending me back and forth to each other to figure it out, all while everyone else was getting their dinners. The waitress on the buffet line told me I could have everything they offer but the mac and cheese (she clearly didn't know what she was talking about b/c I quickly pointed out 4 dishes I could see that were dangerous for me to eat). It's not good for someone to just guess when it comes to food allergies - someone can get really hurt by that! She got frustrated and referred me to the "chef." The chef also didn't have any record of my allergy request and told me to inquire with my hostess and my waiter... You see where this is going? I was later sitting alone at my family table with an empty plate and alcohol while my family was getting all their dinners and raving over the yummy food. The waiter asked if I was going to eat dinner and I said, "I literally don't know, nobody will help me." He said okay and just kept checking on other people. I eventually found out from another source that I could have *some* of the vegetables, steamed white rice, fresh fruit, and lettuce - no deserts, no meats, no breads. For $165. :-/ My husband came and told me they were going to cook some tofu for an entree (I hate tofu but I was glad to have it). Then the chef brought me a slice of gluten free chocolate cake from their freezer that he said he found - I almost cried. So my seared tofu, steamed rice & lettuce dinner was extremely bland but filling , the sliced pineapple was sweet, the chocolate GF cake was delectable, and the alcoholic drinks were strong. So my evening was salvaged. I get VERY EMBARASSED by my food allergy eating out, and was MORTIFIED by all the attention I was FORCED to bring on myself. It was a miserable experience for me, especially as we had a business partner as a guest with us. The others had a good time, but I can't say I'd recommend this experience as a result of the food allergy fiasco. I mean, why have it as a request if it doesn't get shared with anyone? That just messed up expectations and created a bad experience for me.
