Gilligans' Island Luau is an intimate luau experience and is the only luau in Kihei on Maui.

Our luau is less than one quarter the size of the average luau in Hawaii. So, every seat is a great view of the show.

The show is a mesmerizing journey through various types of Polynesian culture presented in a fun and engaging format. Through storytelling, audience participation and remarkable performances, we present an experience unavailable anywhere else.

Locally owned and operated, Gilligans is located on the Maui Nui Golf Course. With our small venue, we sell out quickly. Reserve your seats today!

This was a great experience and the perfect addition to our Hawaii vacation. The dancers, musician, and emcee were very talented and enthusiastic about their performances. The servers were very kind and attentive. The food and drinks were plentiful and delicious. I would recommend it to anyone looking to add some Polynesian culture to their Hawaii visit.

For starters, we weren't given lays. It's my first time in Hawaii and i was told that the lays were for VIP only. Secondly, the venue was very small. We were packed into this small space like sardines. The way that the tables were set up we couldn't really enjoy the show because the VIP tables blocked everyone view. The host/MC decided it was cute to address the black patrons as "homies". I was offended. The show was nothing like what I had seen in videos or on TV. It was very basic, simple and small. I left feeling cheated. There were only 2 fire dancers..... again very basic. 2 out of 10 would not recommend!!!!!

You get what you pay for. Not bad if you’re trying to stay on the affordable side. Wouldn’t recommend getting VIP as you don’t even get an actual lei and sitting is only a few feet in front of general seating.

Very poor atmosphere. Pay more for a nicer experience! The food, drinks and show were okay but you could hardly see it and we were all crammed on a little deck with the dancers in a corner with a wall behind them. The stage was taped off so it looked like a construction sight. Not worth the money.

The show. Colorful, interesting and enjoyable. The performers showed their passion in the rhythms. I liked the description, stories behind the dances.

The dancers and narrator give a good performance, but unless you pay extra to have a good seat at one of the front tables, the view of the show is poor. Paying the more expensive VIP ticket price helps to secure a front row table, or if you are lucky and VIP ticket sales are few for the night, you might score a front table by sheer good luck. Either way, you will enjoy the show, which covers a variety of Polynesian dances from New Zealand to Hawaii. Because the venue is just the veranda of a golf club, the seating is not tiered and the stage is not raised. So if you are at a table in the second row of tables or worse, your view is partially eclipsed by a sea of heads. Another concern is that neither the show's make-shift stage nor the seating area is covered, so any rain will disrupt the show unless organisers have planned ahead and moved the show to inside the clubhouse.

1. What a mess show. Wouldn’t book here again. Cake and salads were from Costco, probably the whole meal! I usually wouldn’t mind but it’s been such an unorganized mess that I’m going to point it out. Only persons not to blame was the performers - they did a great job but at the price of every other luau they really cut a lot of corners. Iv been to over several performances but gosh trip advisors endorsed the wrong company. I’m going to book another luau for the sake of actually seeing a real performance with dinner and a show - with the same one I saw last: A Grand Wailea Lū‘au at wailea.
