Join our cooking class and enjoy a unique experience while visiting Marrakech. This 4-hour experience will not only improve your cooking skills but also teach you more about Moroccan culinary traditions and history.
Before the cooking starts, we will have a tour of a local market to buy the vegetables and all the ingredients we need to cook. Afterwards, we will have a fresh mint tea while we get to know each other.
The next step is to start the cooking process, where travelers learn new techniques for peeling, chopping, and seasoning the tagines with the right spices, as our grandmothers and mothers do at home. While we are cooking, we will talk in depth about Moroccan cultures, traditions, and history.
Travelers will work together as one team to make different dishes, and this helps them learn more dishes than just one specific dish by using different spices and Ras El Hanout.
At the end, it is time to taste and eat what you have cooked.

Recommended for everyone! First you go to the market to do some shopping, then fresh mint tea is made. Then the cooking course starts. We made 4 different tajins with 2 side dishes. Delicious!

This cooking class was a highlight during me and my husband's trip in Marrakech. The two guys were very informative and skillful. Everyone in the group got to cook the traditional tagine and we all enjoyed the very tasty meal at the end! A super experience!

Great hands-on type of cooking class. Ended up being one of the best Moroccan meals we ate all of our 2-weeks. Everyone had responsibilities. They explained everything in English and French. You can buy cooking wares and more importantly spices at the lowest prices we saw. Easily catered to my gluten allergy. Overall great experience!

Chef Hassan is a truly talented chef and joyful teacher. In prepping the dishes, Chef Hassan engaged each one of us (even the reluctant ones, like my husband), while explaining the customs and traditions around each dish. Chef Hassan demystified Moroccan cooking and gave us ample confidence and inspiration to try making the dishes at home. As an added bonus, the prepared meal is one of the best you will have in Marrakech.

Hassan met us at the planned location, close to his cooking workshop, pleasant to do the shopping in the market before. Pleasant explanations on the art of making mint tea. Great welcome, friendly and warm atmosphere. We cooked 4 dishes and 2 starters. It was very participatory and we had a great time: we would do it again. The cooking class with Hassan was fantastic. He was very personable and we all had an opportunity to help with the cooking. He talked about Moroccan cooking and told us all about the dishes we made. We had a great time and the food was delicious! I would highly recommend cooking with Hassan!
