half-day walking tour excursion through bustling Marrakech begins after meeting your guide in front of the Café de France, an iconic landmark on Marrakech’s main square. Over the course of the day, you’ll discover the majesty and vibrancy of Marrakech’s medina, beginning with a jaunt across the Jemaa el-Fnaa square to the Koutobia Mosque. Gaze at the mosque’s massive minaret, the largest in Marrakech, as your expert guide informs you of the stunning building’s history.

Onwards, you’ll head towards the Saadian Tombs, sealed for centuries until their rediscovery in 1917. Marvel at the ornate carvings in a Hispano-Moorish style that frame the crypts of the 16-century royal family. Afterwards, head to the equally ornate Bahia Palace, a 19th-century royal dwelling intended to be the most splendid palace of its time. Gaze at the elaborately-painted ceilings, beautifully-manicured gardens replete with fruit trees, and elaborate stucco patterns adorning almost every surface of the building.

The tour was a bit pricey for what it offered, but the tour guide, Mohamed Abdel, made it worthwhile. He was very knowledgeable and kind. He kept the group together, ensured that we saw all the important details, and answered all of our questions.

Big thank you to our tour guide Rashid, amazing person and guide. As a solo female traveler he made me feel very safe (I believe Morocco is safe for solo travelers already) but he also tried to squeeze in as much as he could for the time we were given. He gave us a detailed tour around the Bahia palace, saadian tombs, and badia palace as well as a spice shop in Marrakech. He bought us all water and showed us the cheapest place to buy groceries. Each place cost 70 dirham (around $7). He was very protective over us and always watched out for us while we were walking in the road. Truly an amazing person and I’m grateful he was our guide as someone visiting Morocco for the first time. I will definitely be back one day to bring my family with me and I hope we get to experience this again.
Shoukran,
Sherin

Thank you Hassan for this visit.
Excellent guide, knowledgeable and friendly. Announced program well respected. Good quality explanations. Visit to the Bahia Palace with added value both for the explanations and for skipping the line.

This tour was amazing! Our tour guide was engaging, funny, knowledgeable about the locations, and answered all our additional questions. It is a long tour, but totally worth it since you get to see multiple locations. We were also able to stop to draw cash, buy water, and use the restroom whenever we wanted. Overall, it was the highlight of our trip and highly recommend!

This was the least favorite of our viator tours in Marrakech. The guide was super nice but it would be helpful for him to have a speaker of some kind as it was hard to hear or understand him. Overall what you are paying for is for someone to walk you to a palace and possibly skip the line, pay for your own access to the palace and have some commentary of few historical and cultural elements. After Bahia palace we were informed that our next stop which was the 'cemetery' had a long line to get in and it was our choice if we wanted to continue the tour. We all were surprised that was our choice as we have only seen one palace and we were not ready to end the tour. Everyone voted to continue the tour, we paid for the entrance fees, got inside, seen very little, not seen the most important room as lines were excessive and after that only walked to the Mosque, stood in the front of it and leaned few things about Islam. Overall the value with this trip is very small, we did learn few things from the guide but I would skip it if you have other choices for activities or limited time.

Your guide was knowledgeable but I could understand 25% of what he said because he talked too fast. He answered all of my questions happily but I got the sense he didn’t care to be there. Thanks

We had a great time and a good guide for the tour.
He gave fair and detailed explanations during the town visit.

The only thing I wanted to do, but our group voted against it, was the wait for 1 hour in line to see the Saadian Tombs. But my husband and I returned after the tour and entered again, and saw the tombs. They let us in for the same ticket. I am glad I did that.
