Amazing trip. Ray’s aside, as this is out of the team’s control (and we did see plenty very up close and personal), this was an outstanding trip. Very organized, simple sign up and check in procedure, attentive crew, clean vessel, and great food. Not only would I recommend, we are going back to do a day snorkel trip. 10 out of 10, highly recommend.

I had an awesome experience with Captain Tim, Emma, and the excellent crew of the Hula Kai on an evening Manta Ray snorkel expedition on December 15, 2023. The crew was efficient and courteous while they fitted the snorkelers with wet suits and gear, and explained the safety procedures. We quickly moved from the dock to the snorkeling site and were in the water very quickly to enjoy the magical Manta Ray experience. We saw numerous Manta Rays and many of the rays did several barrel rolls under our light board to the delight of the snorkelers. I don't know how many individual Manta Rays came by (Captain Tim said at least 4), but I think we experienced 15-20 passes by the light board, sometimes 2 to 3 rays at a time. It was one of my best ocean adventures ever! Thank you Fair Winds and the Crew of Hula Kai!

The night manta ray tour was surreal! Absolutely magical to see these massive, gentle creatures up close. Once in a lifetime experience for sure!
The team was super friendly and helpful. Definitely felt like we were in good hands with a knowledgeable, fun-loving, and attentive crew. Would recommend their day or night tours to anyone looking for an adventure!

Amazing experience!!! Staff was top notch! Made the whole experience relaxing and fun. I’m very nervous in the Ocean and have never been in at night but the crew made us feel so safe!! Highly recommend them!!

We thoroughly enjoyed this event! The captain and his crew were supper friendly, very knowledgeable and genuinely just a pleasure to be with. Directions were great and the crew made sure we were all having fun and safe in the water. The Manta’s were amazing! The experience of them coming within an inch of you and gliding past like gentle giants…will never forget the experience! Book with Fair Wind, you will not be disappointed!!

GREAT trip! Being an experienced diver, I wasn't sure how much fun it would be to float on top of the water, waiting for mantas to swim by below. Let me tell you, it turned out to be so much more than that! The crew was great, and the boat ride to the manta site was maybe 10 minutes (at slow speed). The water was cool enough I was glad to be wearing their provided wetsuit. After swimming a few meters to the platform, we waited a bit and then were treated to some outstanding views of a total 5 mantas. One in particular put on a great show, passing within inches over a dozen times. Afterwards, the crew provided hot soup and hot chocolate that took away that post-adrenaline chill. Our entire family (6 people) thought it was wonderful. You will too!

We had a great experience. Glad I stuck it out to the end because the Manta Rays became especially active the last 15 mins. My only problem was with my mask leaking around my nose and mouth. Water kept coming in. I questioned the fit before we left the dock but stupidly did not address the issue then. So I think that it on me.
Great experience. Be sure and bring a Go Pro preferably one you can strap around your head to leave both hands free sadly we did not get any pictures

I would give this trip more stars if I could! Awesome from start to finish. The crew made the trip perfect. I wish I had gotten their names. They were all helpful, informative and ensured the safety of the humans and the mantas. We were lucky to have dozens of mantas swimming and dancing around us. This experience can't really be described in words. Cannot recommend it enough. The hot soup when you were done is delicious.
