Sunrise at Haleakala Crater. Was absolutely beautiful. We arrived at the crater a little over an hour from sunrise. The moon and stars were easy since there is almost no white light at the top. It does get chilly so layer up. The your company provides fleece ponchos that work well as blankets. The light show lasts approx 50 minutes until the the sun rises to a native Hawaiian chant.from the park ranger. It was well worth the early morning rise. Although there were children that were at the crater ( none on the tour; nor would I recommend it!) I do not think that they had any appreciation for the natural beauty that is provided. I would recommend that the tour company to offer an option to opt out of the breakfast to allow those guest to leave after coming down the mountain.

The crew was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Can’t be thankful enough for the “ponchos”.

Wonderful experience. Billy and Spencer did a great job of educating us and taking care of our needs. Sunrise was great!! They provide a nice fleece lined pancho so we did not get too cold. We were blessed that there was no wind on the day we went.

This tour was amazing. Our tour guide Everett was so knowledgeable about Maui's history that I learned so much on this escapade. The actual sunrise at Haleakala was amazing, and although it was freezing it was so worth it. Also, the macadamia pancakes at the Maui Tropical Plantation were so so good, order those!

Wow!!! We were blown away by this experience. Billy and Everett were awesome and so knowledgeable not only about the mountain, but gave great tips for our trip. We enjoyed the hotel pickup and not having to navigate the winding rounds early in the morning. We loved our breakfast too! Watching the sun rise above the clouds was magical.

It’s an early morning, but absolutely worth it! Dress extremely warm! This is coming from a New Yorker! The temperatures was in the 30s up there and your standing for about an hour to an hour and a half. Worth it though! The rangers so sang a chant when the sunrose which was beautiful! We had two guides- Everett and Billy- both amazing! Pickup was prompt, they were informative, friendly and safe drivers. They gave us hooded fleece ponchos to wear which was great and made all the difference! I would definitely recommend this tour!

Spencer & G did a marvelous job from the early morning pickup to our drop off after the excursion. We highly recommend this family/locally owned tour company. We finished with a filling breakfast having tropical Mountain views.

What a great trip! Alex and Everett were fantastic, or as Alex would say, Cherry! We were treated to three special events, a moonbow, blood moon and incredible sunrise. The weather was perfect and the sunrise over the clouds could not have been better scripted. Advise to anyone taking this trip... when you think you have enough layers, add a couple more. Everrett advised when we got on the bus that the tempurature drop will be 3 degrees for every 1000 ft of elevation, so 30 degree drop. Thank goodness the guides had fleece lined ponchos for us, what a life saver!! Thanks guys!
