Enjoy the true art of Tapeo in this 4.5-hour experience in which you will discover Spanish gastronomy from bar to bar visiting different neighborhoods.
The tour will start at the San Miguel square, where we will move to La Latina, Cava Baja and Cuchilleros streets, most of the famous sites for Tapeo’.
Near the first stop, you will visit a picturesque unique boutique, where you will enjoy the essence of Spain by tasting a curated selection of ham and Iberian sausages, perfectly paired with quality wines, we'll walk through the Plaza Mayor and Barrio de las Letras, where famous poets and artists spent the best years of their lives.
Next to Huertas Street, our stop goes into an old but renovated bar, to taste Meat cheeks, known as “Carrilleras”with smashed potatoes and drinking a good wine, preferably red. The route continues walking through Plaza de Santa Ana and Spanish Theater. Our last tasting stop, deliver us a traditional Shrimp with Garlic served in terracotta or in a clay dish.

This is a MUST do! This is the BEST walking tour we’ve ever done. Our guide, the fabulous Lisa Shuhaibar, showed us some hidden gems around Madrid. Not only were the tapas and drinks AMAZING, but all the details and history behind it made it so enjoyable. We ended the night at a rooftop bar and literally closed the place down. Lisa’s energy is contagious. You will love this.

Who needs museums and palaces when you can actually immerse yourself in the heartbeat of Madrid. By far, the best, immersive, tangible experience, walking the streets and sampling the food and local culture. Must repeat!

This has to be one of the BEST EVENINGS ever for me, not just during the trip to Madrid but even otherwise. I had unfortunately missed the tour as per the original date but then the tour folks were kind enough to accommodate me on a new date. Well, it all turned out to be worth it as the company that I got was as amazing as it gets.
To begin with, Lisa was the tour guide and folks, if you book the tour then ask for Lisa. That’s because once with her, you can be rest assured that you would have a friend alongside and not someone who is just doing her job,
Right from taking down your special request to showing around the city and its many landmarks and then of course taking you through the actual trip, she was just so amazing. As for the places that we visited, they were wonderful as there were different kind of menus that were on display along with the choicest of the wines.
What made this tour further special was some of the best set of tour companions that I could get, Jordan and Becky, Justin and Jen, Adam and Meghan - This was a lovely set of people that I found myself with which only made this tour all the more memorable. Very rarely do you see all like minded people who want to have as much fun as you want to have and then gel quickly. This me what happened, and no wonder, our 4 hour trip turned into a 6.5 hour one because none of us even wanted to leave even past midnight
The grand finale was the rooftop experience (which you get only if you take the tour in the night) and I am so glad I took that. To be in the cold under that quilt and talking away to glory is what made this tour all the more memorable and something that will stay with me for my lifetime.
Thanks, Lisa, for making it happen. An even bigger cheers to the bunch of new friends that I made who ensured that I had an evening of the lifetime!
