The Made in Brooklyn walking tour was excellent. Dom is very knowledgeable. He not only shared interesting historical facts (supplemented by photos) but also provided a unique opportunity to see the work of and meet artists, creators and small business owners making it in Brooklyn. You'll see the best that DUMBO has to offer and Dom is the right guy to lead the way.

Dom took my wife and I on a great personalised tour of the Dumbo District in Brooklyn last week.

He not only provided us with insight into the history of Dumbo, from its early warehousing to its Arbuckles coffee-making roots to Brooklyn being the home of Brillo pads, international pharmaceuticals firms, et al.

He also took the time to introduce us to a number of the artisans in the area with whom he clearly has long-standing friendships, including local artist Craig Anthony Miller, Yukako Satone's Loop of the Loom studio, and last and definitely not least, Mark Thompson's Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory!

The time flew by, and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time with Dom. He loves sharing his passion and knowledge of his backyard with visitors like us.

I cannot recommend Dom's tour highly enough; thanks, Dom, we had a blast.

We loved our Made in Brooklyn Tour! As locals, it was great getting to dive deeper into the history of our own neighborhood. Dom was such a great guide, he was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about the neighborhood, and New York City, history. He personalized the tour and made it worth coming out on a rainy day!

Great way to get to know Dumbo and learn about both its history and some of the interesting artisans there now. Dom was an excellent tour guide who is passionate about Brooklyn, knowledgable about the local history and willing to personalize the tour. Worthwhile for local residents and tourists from out of town.

Great walking tour or the DUMBO neighborhood in Brooklyn. We learned a lot of history about the area, why it has that name, interesting stories about products and industries from the area. We also got to visit some local artisans, see great views, and taste some local products which were amazing.

Our tour was led by Dom, who is the creator and guide for this experience. He is a lifelong New Yorker and, more specifically, Brooklynite, who has a deep knowledge of the city and how it evolved, which he demonstrated amply as we made our way around DUMBO. His ability to convey the time and place in terms of history alongside contemporary happenings in this corner of Brooklyn helped generate a similar sensation to us. Along with the samplings included, this was a well rounded experience.
I would recommend his tour to pretty much everyone but, honestly - this is a shout-out to those who live in NYC. Take this tour - you have the benefit of one of your "neighbors" telling you about the city and it gives you a deeper appreciation for the vast history your city has already created in a few very short centuries. Consider it a one-day vacation at home and a way to reconnect with where you live.
And you can finish it off at Juliana's Pizza... one of Dom's recommendations.
