We had a great time on this tour. Our guide Ronald was awesome. We learned so much about Machu Picchu. He taught us about history, architecture, and even the local plants. We highly recommend this tour.

I went with my husband and daughter (1.5 years old), and so glad we did a private tour. Ronald was our guide and he was excellent, with a lot of knowledge and also was a great photographer for us. He was very kind and patient considering we had a toddler with us and made the process very easy for us.

Seeing Machu Picchu in the morning as the sun was climbing over the mountains was spectacular. By scheduling an early morning tour it was less crowded and allowed us access to areas that are closed later in the day. Marco, our tour guide, was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed learning about the history of Machu Picchu. He was a great photographer as well and took pictures of us at the site. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Not everything we were made to expect. In the overview description it says - twice - that you'll get to "come face-to-face with resident llamas" and "meet resident llamas". As an animal lover, that was actually an important part for me, since we don't have llamas where I come from. Unfortunately, this was not actually a part of the tour. We spotted the head of one single llama from way off, far above us in the hill, and that was it. I didn't even take a picture, since I thought we'd get to see more up close later, but that never happened. When the tour was nearing the end, I asked if we could actually see the llamas, since it was in the description that you'd get to meet them, but the guide said no. In fact, because you have to follow a set route through the ruins, we couldn't even go back to where we saw the one earlier. I understand that this isn't a llama tour, haha, and that these animals are just a fun bonus for most people, but the fact is that we were promised something that we did not get. If guests are not guaranteed to meet llamas, just remove it from the description. I would much rather be pleasantly surprised than be disappointed like this.
Otherwise, the bus ride was comfortable, the guide was knowledgeable and the site was spectacular, and we really enjoyed our Machu Picchu experience.

We planned to walk through alone. A friend suggested we take a tour to get a better experience. We're glad we did. The pace, knowledge, and overall visit was amplified by our guide. Highly recommended.

Marco did an excellent job. He’s knowledgeable and speaks extremely good English, in fact, he speaks five languages. The weather was rainy and the fog was thick but Marco took us to overlooks and patiently waited (1.5 hrs) for just a slight lift in the fog so we could capture the picture of Machu Picchu we came for.

Johnny was a fun guide with a great attitude. We got the basic history of the site and took a lot of funny pictures.

ONE BIG NOTE: this tour is run very clearly on a timed script, and if you ask anthropological questions that deviate from the script they won’t be answered. I’m a history junkie and this didn’t quite scratch that itch but I’m not sure it was supposed to.
