Everyone was was kind and helpful. From Danny picking us up on time and ensuring we had all our ticket to our guide Paul being super knowledgeable and making sure we understood the humanity of the people. Even Arturo went above in making sure we got back on time to catch our flight. The train and bus ride went smoothly and comfortably. Will be recommending.

Pros: the logistics and organisation was top notch. They really took care of everything from one end to the other, which was amazing and allowed us to not worry about a lot of things, especially since we decided short notice that we want to go here and tickets were sold out.

Cons: our guide in Machu Picchu hurried us like mad through the city. To his defense, he was very professional and explained a lot of things very well. We stayed there for 2 hours, but then towards the end he would mostly run towards the exit without many breaks for explanations or any of that stuff, which is quite a shame, because when we got back to Aguas Calientes, we had to wait for more than 2 hours doing nothing. We could have spent 15-30 mins more in Machu Picchu taking photos or getting more details on the sanctuary, especially since it's one of the wonders of the world.

If I were to come back here, I would not choose the same company, but rather do this on my own and maybe book a guide at the entrance, since there are plenty there. They're good if you need an entrance ticket and there aren't any available on the official website or if you don't want to do any research and want the logistics taken care of.

Machu Picchu was magical - an unforgettable experience, but you'll have read this about a dozen times already reading through reviews here :)

What made this operator (Vipac) really stand out to me is how organized they are. Perfect, ample communication (proactive and in reaction to questions), and yes everyone speaks great English. No missing a tour or stop because something goes wrong. They even had name signs for everyone at every pickup (which is charming and impressive if you consider what a numbers game with tons of visitors Machu Picchu is)
If you are planning to go to Macchu Picchu, this is it, period. (Tour operators in Peru operate on a range from horrible to great, and at least for me they set the gold standard for a worry-free experience)

On a sidenote: Many people here mention a bus to get to the train station. We were taken there directly by shuttle each way, which made things easier. There also just opened a new train station in the middle of Cusco that goes to Machu Picchu - I wouldn't be surprised if they change over to that station in the future to make things even easier for them and customers.

Just an absolutely amazing excursion. The pick up time was accurate and even though there was some initial concern about the transfers from to bus and train, the company staff was great about making sure the group collectively stayed together. Franklin was our guide and he's very knowledgeable regarding the history of Machu Picchu and the Inca civilization. The views in Machu Picchu are so beautiful that any photos/videos just don't do it justice.

Bring a few snacks & water to hold you over during the travel day and eat a quick meal prior to heading back for the night in Aguas Calientes. Layers that are easy to take off/put on is a good idea. Between the weather, humidity and elevation levels I took my raincoat off/on probably 10 times. It's a long day and night of travel, but very much so worth it.
