The best experience to learn about the old arts of Venice lagoon islands: Murano and Burano.
With a private boat from Venice, directly to the oldest original Murano Glass Factory, where a Master glassblower and his team are working daily, following the tradition of centuries ago. From Murano, crossing the lagoon, we’ll reach Burano island, famous for its lace work and the colourful atmosphere. Walking by picturesque houses, enjoying the typical “bussolai” (famous cookies of the island), feeling like a resident. Last but not least, an insightful guided visit into an historical hand-made lace workshop.
Then back to Venice by private boat, for an outstanding view of the lagoon.

This tour was amazing! Matteo was so friendly and knowledgeable and shared his unique local perspective. Everything was first class from being picked up at our hotel, introduced to hosts on Murano and Burano and transported back to Venice. Highly recommend this tour!

We felt like we were being brought there to buy the glass and the lace. We needed more information told to us about what we were doing and where going. Our guide was very sweet. We did not know Luca who we saw was such a famous glass blower until after. I think you should tell people that ahead of time. The tour was not super fun. Borano was a cute town…but way too much time there just walking around. The ladies in the lace store were way too pushy. It was awkward.

Private glass- blowing tour was extremely interesting to watch. It was also nice to have a tour of the gallery and see all the beautiful pieces!
The Burano walk-about was nice because it was more “behind the scenes “ not in the busy shopping area. Georgia was a terrific guide who was very friendly and professional and certainly took our “needs” into consideration ( very rainy day)
Private boat ride was terrific as well. Overall an excellent tour!!

It was a terrific trip. Murano and the glass making didn’t disappoint but Burano was an unexpected pleasure…Such a beautiful town.

The best part of the experience though was our guide, Georgia. She was a perfect blend of being fun and knowledgeable.

My wife, sister and I all had a great time.

We love Venice but planned to take a break from the crowds to explore the nearby islands. If you’ve researched at all you’ll have read about Murano and Burano to some extent and so did we, so we decided to take a private tour and we have zero regrets..!
Nico, our tour guide, was amazing. A native Venetian, you could tell he loves his home and is very well versed in its history. He took us off the beaten path every so often and we had a richer experience for it.
I can tell you that going to these islands on your own wouldn’t be the same. The tour is worth every penny and then some.

Thank you Nico for an excellent experience! 🙂
