We had such a great time and our guide, Sae, is amazing .By the end of the evening it felt like we were old friends. Our favorite stop was an authentic izakaya where the menu was entirely in Japanese. Thankfully Sae ordered an amazing meal for us to pair with sake including delicious namafu and creamy Yuba skin, both specialties of Kyoto. It was so fun to explore the city with a local expert who took us to some of her favorite places.

Josh was a great guide, very friendly, informative and great fun. He made sure that we also drank water as well as tasting some really great and unusual cocktails particular to Japan. He asked which we preferred cocktails or more whiskey based - I like both but my husband preferred whisky, so Josh took us to a bar to taste different Japanese brands. He also showed us a shrine which we never would have known was there and explained the culture and worship behind it. He told us lots of interesting things about Tokyo. He was much better than the guide the Travel Company we arranged the holiday with on arrival the day before to Japan! He made an enourmouus effort to ensure that we had a good time - I would highly reccommend him.

Thomás was our guide for a group of 9 family members. It was his first time to handle a group that large and he did an amazing job. Our tour was arranged to be held in quieter places where we could all hear with was being said and experience both the fun food as well as the cocktails, sake and whiskey. It more than met our expectations and I would recommend anyone who wants a fun guided evening with both food and drinks to use this company's guide services. The price may look a little pricey but we did 4 foodie tours during our 3 weeks in Japan and realize that you get what you pay for. This tour was far and away our best.

Amazing amazing tour! From the hosts to the hidden gem stops, it's truly for people who want to get a local experience and would be uncomfortable trying to figure it out on their own. I normally don't go to bars on my own because i'm a little intimidated by the language barrier. However, being on this tour made everything so easy and I learned so much. I got to try a matcha martini which was totally the highlight of the tour!

Although I am studying in Tokyo this was absolutely amazing!
We went to places I have not been to before and many of them only accessible if you are a local! Our Guide was amazing and shared many stories about the area and Japanese culture. We even went to a stylish cocktail bar where we were able to choose a drink made with Japanese ingredients and got a chance to try Wagyu beef jerky. So delicious, I absolutely loved it!!!

We loved our tour with Mario! He took us to 4 stops- beer, fried pork katsu sandwich, sake and a cocktail bar. He had a lot of knowledge to share and every stop was top notch. We saw a lot of places we would never have known existed. The cocktail bar was particularly special- every drinks was a work of art. He also promptly followed up via email with photos of our tour and great recommendations for the rest of our time in Tokyo. Highly recommend this tour!

We did the luxury sake and cocktail tour with Mario and it was fabulous! Mario is very knowledgeable and fun to talk to. He took us to great local places and ordered delicious small plates to share and try Japanese specialities. The Dassai sake tasting room was extremely cool and a great way to learn about sake. The final cocktail bar we visited was Mixology Salon. I have never been to such a creative and inventive cocktail bar- it was truly mind blowing how intricate the cocktails are that they make. 6 out of 5 stars for Mario- he is wonderful!

It was an enjoyable evening and my expectations were exceeded. The choice of bars, the order of the visits… just everything was well done and someone really put some thought behind all of it. The partners in the different locations were informed in advance and welcomed us; I particularly enjoyed the Mixology Salon and the Sake Tasting. Our guide Satoshi was a pleasure to be around with and I would certainly enjoy traveling with him throughout the entire country. Although he has been doing this probably a couple of times already, he still gave us the feeling as if this was a premiere. I was glad to see that he was using photos and other supporting materials during the tour. (The photo with Godzilla, the sake explanations – very cool!) But above all, it was his sense of humor which took the entire tour to the next level. Congratulations and thanks a lot!

We had our tour with Mario who was an exceptional guide. Mario has been living in Japan for 10 years and can speak Japanese. He is very knowledgeable and was able to order many types of drinks to suit our different taste palettes. Mario was always spot on with the types of drinks he recommended. My favourite was this Japanese infused tea whisky that I got to taste in a lovely local bar that we had just to ourselves.
We learnt a lot not just about drinks but the places and establishments that he made fun and engaging.
He went above and beyond by giving us lots of recommendations of the places we wanted to visit and the drinks we liked such as how to make that infused tea whisky I loved so much and the place in Tokyo I could go to buy the tea and whisky. The pictures he took and the many recommendations he mentioned to us was emailed promptly the next day.
I can not thank Mario enough for the amazing experience we all had.
