This tour was one of the highlights of our time in Luxor. It was private and very relaxing. The views of the Nile during Golden Hour were unmatched. The food was good at Banana Island. Tommy, our tour guide, gave us a great talk on Egyptian flora and fauna. Our captain (Heidi Felucca) brought out his drum and serenaded us with a traditional Egyptian song. 100% recommend

The Felucca Ride and Banana Island was a very magical tour. Our tour guide Hatem and the crew of the felucca made our experience perfect. Hatem accompanied us around the Banana Island and explained us about the typical vegetation and fruits of the area, and he was also very attentive to us so at the lunchtime. The crew of the felucca was also really nice, they gave us some tea and were attentive to make sure that we had a great and relaxed time with beautiful views to the Nile river. They recommended us to navigate the river Nile at the sunset and it was a really good choice!! Highly recommended if you want to relax on the Nile River and with the magical light of Egypt.

The Feluca ride is a really nice way to expirience the Nile and its surroundings.
Hatem makes this expirience even more personal, his grate knowledge of the area makes you enjoy every bit of it, the plants in banan Island, the constructions in Luxor to provide with clean water to the city, you can ask he will know!
Even if the local food is really good, and the visit to the island wonderfull, the Felucca ride takes the price!
The sunset in the nile is amazing while enjoying tea and the company of the crew or relaxing on top of the Felucca, it is defenetly quite magical. Hatem and the Egipt Gift Tours know how to manage the ride to accomodate the mood (I have done it twice and if you ask good enought maybe you can even swim in the nile :O )

I had a wonderful time with Egypt Gift Tours and their tour guide Mido.They offered me a private sunset felucca ride and banana island tour with lunch, and it was one of the highlights of my visit luxor. The felucca is a traditional wooden sailboat that sails gently on the Nile river, giving me amazing views of the ancient temples and the modern city. The banana island is a beautiful and peaceful place where I could see banana farms, palm trees, and colorful birds. Mido was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable throughout the tour. He explained the history and culture of Luxor, the Nile, and the banana island. He also prepared a delicious meal of local cuisine and fresh fruits for me. We had a fantastic time on the Felucca sunset cruise. Hatem made sure that we felt comfortable and were enjoying ourselves as we visited banana Island, took a quick dip in the river and sailed around as the sun set. We were provided with many meal options and had a delicious meal on the island as well as visited the monkeys, crocodiles, turtles and a coyote. Hatem gave us lots of information about how the fruit is grown. We seen banana trees, the trees, grapevines, etc. The Felucca captain and his son were also a good time and everyone kept the energy high with music and hot tea on board. Highly recommend!

: A fantastic Nile boat ride whilst viewing the sunset. So peaceful and calm , the captain was fabulous such an expert and very friendly . Even made me a cup of tea! Thanks to our guide who sorted to be picked up from my hotel via the Nile. Brilliant ! Banana island was very quiet … but the food was good and the guide was equally good company .

The food on banana island was very tasty; we both had the kofta which was lovely and flavoursome.
The felucca boat ride was very relaxing, nothing was rushed and the sunset was beautiful. Our boat captain Heba Haggag was excellent and happy to chat and take photos for us.

Our guide was called Mido and we met him at our boat jetty where he introduced us to the captain of the boat and we loved it straight away.
Our journey started towards Banana Island where we enjoyed a wonderful sail by wind, it was peaceful and heavenly.
We arrived to Banana Island where we were guided to a seat in a restaurant and had dinner.
The food was amazing. We had soup, my wife had fish with rice and I had grilled chicken with rice. Amazing, delicious and plentiful.
After dinner we were guided up through the restaurant and towards the banana plants into the central part where they keep a few animals. Crocodiles, monkeys, wolves, turtles and a very proud doggy and her pups.
I highly recommend this place because who doesn’t love animals and there is a second to buy dresses and souvenirs at very respectable prices.
I got a hand made Egyptian dress for my wife which was very long and very exquisite for 350 EGP so I highly recommend this place.
After this we were then guided back to the boat for our sunset ride back to our hotel where photos were taken so much. After this we were given authentic Egyptian tea and listened to Egyptian music by the captain using drums.
The guide was perfect as we had a connection with him right from the start.
I highly recommend Mido as your tour guide, he is very knowledgeable and always keen to help, he has his own tour guides so please ask him what he has to offer as I am sure he will be perfect for you and to be as memorable to you as it was for us.
