I am so very glad that I booked this private tour of the Louvre! Our guide, Marijke, was simply incredible! She had a thorough knowledge of the museum, and had a basic tour in mind for us.
Our group of 4, including a Cambridge professor, was full of questions. Each of us had a specific painting, sculpture or artist that we wanted to see. Additionally, different random works of art caught our attention and we all wanted to stop, look and interpret. Marijke was so patient and helpful! She explained works and artists that she knew, but was happy to just stand, analyze and wonder alongside us when we were intrigued by something that she had not studied before.
We saw every single thing that we wanted to see, we were never rushed and the entire tour, lasting 3 hours, was just the correct amount of time! When the tour ended we all commented on what a great experience it was. It simply could not have been better! I would HIGHLY recommend this tour. It is worth every penny!

Quentin is energetic and joyful. His passion for art is contagious. Quentin went into great detail about various works and artists that we would have have never received from a canned audio-tour. A truly memorable experience that we will never forget. Q

How do rate beyond Exceeded our Expectations!! Olek was amazing, passionate and extremely knowledgeable (educated) about the Louvre, from its history, architecture and art. We started outside with an overview of the architectural history and then entered away from the crowds. Hint - January is a brilliant month to visit the Louvre. There are no crowds. The Mona Lisa gallery ALWAYS has crowds, that was not our focus. But what made this experience is the passion and fun Olek brings his tour, he continuously checks in with you (it was just my husband and I) about what you know or may know and fills in the holes with facts and fun. We saw a lot, much more than I expected, but never felt rushed. He gave us time to observe. I have avoided the Louvre for 20 years but so happy I arranged this tour and got
Olek. I will definitely book him and this tour again!!

Such an amazing tour with a knowledgeable, friendly, and very patient guide named Humberto. There were many good points, but the main thing was how responsive he was to what we wanted to see/learn about. Humberto asked us what we wanted to see before entering and he worked those areas in while also broadening our horizons a bit by taking us to other areas as well. We’ve been home for over a month and are still talking about what we learned. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Mallae did a good job with a very difficult subject : the Louvre. It is huge. But she got us to all the best sites and helped us focus our time.

Our private tour of the Louvre was amazing! Romaine provided insightful and interesting information and historical context. His personal attention made navigating the Louvre seamless and enjoyable. We also toured the Louvre in December of 2022 with Victor who was also incredible and brought the Louvre to life for our family. His attention to our teenagers made the tour more enjoyable for all, tailoring information to capture their interest. I can’t imagine touring the Louvre without a guide from My Private Paris!

The skip the line was the best way to go. Our tour guild Marc was fantastic. His knowledge and story telling on the history was great. With the skip the line we were able to get right in and for the first hour seemed as we almost had the place to ourself. Upon exit there must have been thousands of people waiting for hours to get in. I highly recommend to do the skip the line.

This was our second trip to Paris. I booked a private tour with MyPrivateParis.com for the Louvre and Opera House and Quentin was our guide. We had been to the Louvre before as well and seen the highlights that all other tours show you, but I wanted to see other points of interest. We had not been to the Opera House previously.
Quentin was our guide and I instantly liked him (which was great seeing that we were spending 7 hours together). He was knowledgeable and interesting and helped me understand and view the paintings in a different way. I also learned more history of the Louvre itself that I hadn't previously known.
We had lunch with him, which I enjoyed very much as well. The best guides are those you feel like you want to be friends with afterwards.
Off to the Opera House, he took us on some off roads to show points of interest as well as some knowledge of Paris architecture. The Opera House was amazing. I can't imagine visiting here or the Louvre without a guide! This tour was early in our week in Paris and every tour we had afterwards, I kept comparing what I heard with them to what Quentin told us - and determining that he was right.
The communication with the company was excellent, Quentin was excellent, well worth the extra money!

Marijke was absolutely phenomenal. She made each work of art come to life in a very fun and broad overview of all the Louvre has to offer. She was definitely one of the best art guides I have had.
