My son and I did surf lessons at Costa Azul with Michael. We had an amazing time and highly recommend. We were picked up at our hotel (right on time), which was a quick 10 min from Costa Azul.
Michael was super patient and knowledgeable in terms of how to not only teach you, but make you feel comfortable. He promised that we would get up and surf and he was right. The beach was great and the waves were perfect for beginners.
If you choose to use High Tide, which you should, you definitely want to ask for Michael!

Hugo the instructor was amazing and we both learned how to surf in less than two hours! I highly recommend the tour with him and/or the company.

We had the most amazing time! We got to catch tons of waves and had great instruction and aid getting up. Alan and Marco (Pérez) were great instructors! They were so friends and fun to hang out with, they even were giving tips to other surfers to help everyone have a great time! I would 100% do this again and would ask to have Alan and Marco again.

Emilio was amazing! Excellent teacher for surfing. Went from never having done it to being able to confidently ride waves by the end. Very nice and knowledgeable, would recommend everyone take lessons from him.

We took 3 lessons from High Tide because Hugo was so awesome we had to go again and again!! Besides just having such a great time, my husband I learned so much and I feel we really improved our surfing. Hugo had us both up and riding every wave! He positioned us perfectly in the water, and gave us a little push. The pushes got lighter, and I even caught a few myself! Either way, I rode every ride, and I learned to position myself better on the board with better posture. My husband had some great rides too. If we were staying longer, we'd be riding with him again!! As it is, see you next time!!

It was great to get back on the board after 18 years. The instructor was nice, easy to communicate with, and has a very small ratio of students so I got very personalized attention. Water felt great.
