Stroll through the châteaux of Chenonceau, Chambord, and Amboise on this full-day tour from Paris to the UNESCO-listed Loire Valley. Admire Chenonceau’s amazing floral gardens, and marvel at the sheer grandeur of Chambord, the largest chateau in the valley. 1. Chateau de Chambord
Chambord Chateau is the biggest chateau in the Loire Valley! It has hundreds of delicate spires and a double helix staircase that is sure to impress you with its genius design and magnitude. You'll learn about Chambord with your guide and then have at least an hour of free time to visit it on your own and take amazing souvenir photos..
2. Chateau de Chenonceau
Chenonceau is very unique! Known as the Ladies Chateau as it was owned and built up by, mostly, powerful women, and they left their feminine touch throughout it. You'll learn about its fascinating history, including why it was built over a river, from your guide then have free time to explore inside and admire the gorgeous decor.

Amboise Château is one of the oldest Royal castles in France. From its hilltop perch, it has gorgeous views over the untamed Loire River and the charming medieval town of Amboise. You'll learn all about its torrid history from the guide and then have free time to explore the castle ramparts and take amazing pictures.

Visit the tomb of the great Leonardo Da Vinci and see where he spent the last 3 years of his life in the service of the French King. No visit to the Loire would be complete without learning about Da Vinci. His architectural genius was very important to the Renaissance Chateau in the Loire. (not always accessible)
5. Amboise
The Medieval town of Amboise will charm you with its plaster and timber-framed houses and tiny winding streets. You'll enjoy free time for lunch in the beautiful town of Amboise. There are dozens of little restaurants and bakeries for you to choose from. Your lunch is not included in our tour price.
6. Place Michel Debre
While wine is not the focus of this tour before you leave Amboise your guide will take you to a cute little wine shop where you will be given a short wine sample tasting of three different wines. The Loire Valley is known for its production of white wines so you will taste some of them to make your visit to the Loire even more authentic.
7. Chateau De Chaumont Sur Loire
On your way to the Chambord Chateau, we'll pass by this lovely 1,000-year-old castle and its beautiful flower garden that is along the Loire River. If you ask about it the guide will be happy to share its history with you and, if time permits, stop for a few photos of it as well.

It was well organized. Julia was an excellent driver on a route which is at times narrow and challenging. It was a very full day of sight seeing and well worth it.

I had a great time on the Loire Valley tour with Nicolas Leroy. The tour was 12 hours but it didn’t feel like it because we had frequent restroom stops and each visit was well spaced out. I highly recommend this small group tour (8 ppl) experience over a slightly cheaper one on a giant bus with 55 ppl.

We were met early in the morning and enjoyed a quick trip through Paris. There were just 4 in our group which was nice.
We saw 3 wonderful castles, had several history lessons, and a lovely wine tasting. Our guide was wonderful. Very warm and informative. Also a great driver which is important getting in and out of Paris. It was a full day, but totally worth the trip.

Victor, our guide, was very pleasant and knowledgeable. The castles were beautiful, at least on the exterior. And the Loire Valley very scenic. The van was VERY cramped. 8 people are too much for the space, given the long drive.

We really enjoyed the 3 castles. The only problem is that although the guide gave you some historical information before entering the castles she did not go in with you to explain or point out anything. There was not enough time to truly view any of castles the time given so some guidance would have been most helpful.

A visit to these 3 castles had always been a dream, so in that sense, my dream was realized. The time allotted for each visit was not long enough. I wish there had been more explanations of the history and construction of each castle.

My husband and I truly enjoyed our Loire valley experience. Major shout out to Augustine for being such a wonderful guide! He enthusiastically described each site with great detail and provided us with enough historical information to help us appreciate the chateaus even more. It was such a long day starting from 7am and ending at 7pm, but Augustine stayed positive and energetic the entire time. The commentary on the way between sites was perfectly timed, not too much but also kept us engaged. It was nice to have plenty of free time to check out the chateaus on our own after being given a brief overview of its history. Would not hesitate to book with this agency again when we come back to Paris!
