Portuguese Masterclass is a hands-on class for those interested in learning new techniques of cooking during their visit to Lisbon. Every Thursdays, from 6:30pm to 10pm , you can learn, cook and eat a gourmet meal and drink Portuguese wines.

Tour was a big disappointment. I have done many other cooking classes in other cities, and they usually give me a feel for the culture and people. This chef was uninspiring and had a flat affect. He was unable to illicit any energy from the group, was not engaging and mostly people stood around waiting. The wine was scarce with two bottles opened for 12- people. Had us stand around while one person fried literally 52 cod fritters (for 10 people). This took forever and most were not even touched. The sous chef just stood there and stared at us. Not sure he could speak English. The group was very friendly and nice but everyone was disappointed. Skip this one!

This was great fun to do for an evening on our vacation! Prior to cooking, there was cheese & wine. Everything was organized and our chef explained everything clearly. We made about 6 different dishes with other several other folks who were traveling and had dinner together. I would definitely do this again!

Great fun. Big thanks to our chef instructor who was so engaging, charming, and funny. An apology, but just can’t remember his name now. A really great evening. Total class was 8 “students”. We learned a lot, drank lots of wine, had a delicious dinner, and laughed plenty. Fun and informative.

We have joined other cooking classes in the past. Many in other countries. On our return home to California, we are exicted to take the recipes and prepare a Portuguese feast for our friends. This cooking class is ALL hands-on. Everybody pitched in. This was not a watching experience - be ready to prepare the feast with Paulo. When back in Lisbon, we will return for another cooking adventure.

Wow what a fun night. We have been traveling a lot and I always skip on the cooking classes and opt for a food tour to see more of the place I am visiting. But I really wanted to learn to cook from my family roots. This class was so fun the dishes were all AMAZING some of the best food we had on our four country trip. And our chef was so so fun. Highly recommend.

My teenage daughter & I thoroughly enjoyed our evening — Paolo was a fantastic instructor, and the menu we prepared was diverse and delicious. He ensured that everyone was involved in the preparation, and he shared countless insights about the ingredients and origins of the dishes we made. Highly recommend!

This was a BLAST!!! So fun and engaging! We cooked a 5 course meal, all the while meeting new friends and learning all about the Portuguese culture through food. Our chef was very patient with the varied skill levels and everyone had such a fun time. Plenty of laughs and wine to go around. I highly recommend!!!
