Food is an essential part of the local culture and Lisbon gives you the chance to experience the whole variety, texture and flavors of its delicacies while strolling around the city.
The experience starts at Mercado da Ribeira/Time Out Market, the most dynamic market of the city. There will be a break for a coffee and Pastel de Nata. A Portuguese style breakfast.
Next challenge is to take the boat and cross the river. A soup and a seafood patty will be waiting for us. In the meantime enjoy the view to Lisbon.
While back in Lisbon, time for a toast with Ginja (sour cherry liqueur) to celebrate Lisbon food, right before heading next to the grand finale where you will be introduced to the biggest stars of the show.
First there will be a Bifana and beer snack, the perfect appetizer for the last stop, a wine with delicacies tasting. In the end … variety is the spice of life!

Ricky, Luis, Federico and Martin was so friendly and professional, which made the tour more enjoyable and relaxing. I will never forget their warm welcome when I arrived at the meeting location. They showed me places I'd never thought of going to. Places that are the opposite of what we see as a tourist. The tasting of the different Portuguese products were delicious, and in good company, even better! The boat trip to the other side of the river was very pleasant. A tip I won't forget when I come back. The value of this guided tour is for sure to discover local products, a part of the city by foot, but also to get to know the country history and understand better the culture through discussions with the hosts, which is not possible on a bus tour, for example. I am very happy with this experience and I can't enough recommend everyone to go for it, if interested by a more local tourism in the city of Lisbon
Muito obrigada a toda a equipa !

Our guide Tiago knocked it out-of the-park with this tour. Everything about our few hours with him was fantastic! The stops for coffee, pastel de nata, bifana and ginjinha were all perfectly selected and perfectly timed. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit at the Mercado da Ribeira to see the fresh fish, seafood, fruits and vegetables. Tiago kept things moving but also kept a comfortable pace while keeping us engaged in his most informative narrative and pleasant conversation. He's a wealth of knowledge in not only Portuguese history but also world history. Tiago made everything we saw so very interesting and relevant. We did this tour on our 2nd day of 10-day stay in Lisbon. It was an incredibly hospitable & informative introduction to Portugal. Many thanks to Tiago for a most memorable tour. Obrigada my friend.
