On this evening walking tour we caught some wonderful views of the city. There IS a special glow about Lisbon.

As Jamie our guide shared what Fado meant, we caught a glimpse of the passion locals have for their city - it was a privilege to have him take us around. Thank you.

Alicia is the perfect guide for this tour. We also got to meet Agget who was also warm and friendly. Alicia said we should feel like we were spending a night out with friends and we absolutely did. Food and drinks were fantastic.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Food & Fado tour with our Devour guide, Raquel Azedo. She was personable, funny, and highly informative about the history of Fado, as well as the history and culture of Lisbon. The highlight of the tour, of course, was the dinner and Fado at the O Segredo D’Alfama restaurant. The meal was excellent, as were the musicians and two singers we heard (unfortunately, we missed hearing our hostess, Maria, sing at the end of the evening as we were outside waiting for our ride back to the hotel at the time). Fado music is so passionate and emotional—what a treat to experience it in such an intimate setting. We loved the two Devour tours we had in Lisbon and look forward to more in the future!

Our tour was led by Ann Elisa. She was absolutely amazing, and the tour was definitely a highlight of our trip. It was clear she was so happy to be with our small group and share her knowledge of the beautiful city! Ann Elisa explained all about the history of fado as we walked the path through two neighborhoods where it all started. Our first stop, at Ourives, the small plates and vhino Verde we shared were delicious, and the restaurant itself was awesome. We then literally went to a local little old lady's door, who served is the best ginjia we've had on the trip. Finally we went to the fado restaurant and were amazed by the talent and passion of the artists. This was our 5th Devour tour (others were Lisbon, Madrid, London, and Paris) and right at the top for us. We also realized a huge part of what makes it so good is the people you meet during the tour. Our experience would not have been the same without the wonderful conversation with Diogo and Alecia (I apologize if I got the names wrong - there was wine!!) We even connected with them on WhatsApp because they graciously offered to share information on wines they enjoy (and offered help if we had any other questions during our stay). It was nearly 1 AM when we got back to the hotel. We loved everything about the evening. :-)

My daughter and I had an excellent morning on our Lisbon food tour. The food and drinks were delicious and we learned so much about the city and culture. It was the perfect way to start our vacation. Ruth was so knowledgeable and and we enjoyed listening to her stories and learning about her experiences as a local.

We took this tour with Davide and had the most delightful evening! We learned a lot, took many pictures, ate too much, and were moved by beautiful Fado. Davide was an incredible guide. Our time with him was one of the highlights of our entire trip. Highly recommended!

I travelled to Lisbon with a few friends on a birthday weekend and as a surprise we purchased tickets for the Food and Fado tour of Mouraira and Alfama Neighbourhood tour. Ann Eloise was our Devour guide for the evening and she made you feel and experience the days gone by, as we navigated our way through the narrow streets we experienced a deep cultural part of Lisbon's history, the roots of Fado music and the storytelling and meaning behind it all, it was palpable!! After the guided walking tour we tasted that very tradition whilst listening to Fado music!! Well done Ann and I would have no hesitation in recommending the tour. Also some amazing views. Thanks for the amazing moment, so rich in culture. Tips- bring a bottle of water, especially during the warm climate & wear flat comfortable shoes to navigate the undulating streets.

Want to get “lost” in cozy Alfama and Mouraria whilst eating amazing Portuguese food and listening to the history and music of fado? Then you should try this tour! The guide we had was super friendly and energetic and she took us to places we wouldn’t have found on our own. It’s also the perfect time of day to stroll around the otherwise very busy Alfama. Have a wonderful evening!

The tour takes you to discover the story of Fado by walking in the streets where it was born. There's a very nice tour guide and I learnt many interesting things. I also tasted some typical food, before in Mouraria (finger food), then at a restaurant in Alfama (dinner), where there was a very beautiful fado exhibition. Love it!

I took part to this tour with some friends. The tour starts in the Mouraria and Alfama zones of Lisbon, where the fado was born/developed. There's a tour guide that explains the story of fado and the tour ends in a restaurant in Alfama, with food and fado exibition included.
It was amazing and we really enjoyed it because the tour guide was very nice and easygoing, and she explained to us many interesting things; we got a deeper knowledge into fado, always good to know if you live in Portugal; the food was abundant and delicious (softest codfish ever!) and the restaurant staff super nice; the fado show was funny. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone.
