I really loved this experience because the area is energetic and vibrant. All of the food was really good. The locals are very friendly. The beer bar was an amazing way to see locals be social. The food exposure is beyond just the western expectation and you definitely won’t regret it. Kiki is so personable and a great guide.

I go Shanghai regularly but never has time to go on tours till my vacation.
Had a great experience with Austin. He was very knowledgeable and very patient. Shared with us many key scenes and lovely food during the tour.
Did a great night tour and we explored many good places in Shanghai.
Do go for it.

My friend and I had such a great time with Jim and his colleague, they were truly an amazing duo, both very knowledgeable and fun at the same time. They took us to places we would not normally visit on our own plus picked for us types of food typical for the area. The bonus was that the group for the night consisted of interesting people as well. We had a blast! Thank you again.

Fantastic food tour in Shanghai. Included 5 different places in the French Concession, all very good. Hard to say which was the best! Jim was excellent and explained everything in detail. I had excellent food and learned a lot!

If you’re looking for an authentic local gastronomic experience than look no further - we were taken to some of the best local restaurants in the area, and tried some amazing food!
We had such a great night, I wish we had done this tour sooner in our trip.

Very nice tour with a young student. I learned a lot a bout culture, food and places to go in the city. Very easy going. Felt more like hanging out with a friend and share different food. Exactly what I was hoping for.

My friend and I had a long layover with just a few hours to explore the city. This food tour was the best way to spend our limited time in Shanghai! Jim is very kind and has so much knowledge of both the local food and history. He took us to the best local places and even added an extra stop at a tea house when he learned we were interested in trying some. 10/10 would recommend.

If you are new to Shanghai and wanting to try some local food, this is a great tour! Ding was very knowledgeable about the local food and culture and answered all of my (many) questions. It was a fun way to spend an evening and also get to see different parts of the city as well. Would definitely recommend!

I’m glad I was able to get this last minute booking. It was excellent and well worth it.
Our guide Jim is warm, friendly and knowledgeable. We had different kinds of dumplings. Now I have my new favorite dumplings and they are the Shanghai dumplings. I think we ate 7-8 types of local dishes and we also tried this pretty good craft beer (Flipping Mango Hazy IPA).
