This exploration will take you to the north side of Puerto Rico where we will Navigate thru the towns of Arecibo, Vega Alta, and Vega Baja. Our first stop will be the Rio Tanama Waterfall in Arecibo where you will enjoy a swim in one of the most secluded waterfalls on the island. This semi-adventure tour comes with a small hike through the river to one of Puerto Rico's most hidden gems. Our next stop is Charco Azul an unforgettable place to swim & jump in Vega Baja our final stop is a beach in the beautiful town of Vega Baja. This huge but secluded beach is perfect for a rock climb or just enjoy the beach views away from the crowds and other tourists.

Sarah was our guide. He was kind enough to stop by Starbucks on our way out.
Our first listed stop was not as described on the site. First of all, there is no snorkeling. We were also kind of annoyed because we paid for a private tour and although it was kind of him, we did not appreciate Sarah picking up random people in the parking lot to take them along with us. “They are so lucky I’m here because you can get turned around in the trails,” was his proud statement. No offense but I felt it was kind of inappropriate and unnecessary. It took away from the private romantic walk, beauty of the area, and sounds of nature because it was a small group, who were talking very loudly the entire walk. Then when we stopped, they were standing around in the way from us checking out the first stop and taking photos . We were annoyed. Then, once we got to main location, it was kind of like.. ok, now what ? Since there was no snorkeling and he had nothing really to say to us about the stop- It was just a small beach with a small, sort-of cave that had birds. The best part was the walk back because the group was gone and the scenery was very pretty.
The second location, was just not well communicated at all. Our guide walked us down to the river but didn’t get in to guide us into the cave or cliff point for jumping. In fact, he encouraged us to jump off a really dangerous cliff that had rocks on both sides. Thank God, another tour guide saw us contemplating the jump and stopped us! He was with a small group sitting in the caves having a snack break. He came running out and asked us not jump and showed us another point that was a little higher but 100% safer. If it weren’t for the guide that stepped in, it would have been another disappointing stop.
Once we took the 30 foot jump, and listened to others’ tips that were there, we had a good time. I strongly recommend going to Charco Azul Canyon but with another guide. The caves and cliff diving were our favorite part of the whole trip but again, thanks to another tour guide.
The lunch stop was not our vibe. After we ate, we skipped the last stop and asked to go back to our hotel.

We had a wonderful time but for some strange reason it rain the entire trip causing the river not to be safe so we didn’t get to see the waterfall. We stayed at the beach longer to compensate.The first site was some hiking but that’s what we expected, wear water shoes in the cave!!Overall our guide was nice and we had a great time and got to take a lot of pictures. We are coming back so we can visit the waterfalls

Had a great day exploring with our guide, José. Vega Baja has a beautiful beach, the water was super clear the day of our excursion. The river and caves are a physically challenging but unique experience. José was gracious enough to take tons of pictures for us and we never felt rushed. If you are looking for something off the beaten path, this is it!

We booked the lagoon and beach cave tour, and our tour guide was Glory. We had a blast on this tour. We were apprehensive at first as the morning started out with heavy rain but by the time we hit the first stop, the beach caves, the sun had come out. Glory picked our family of three up in her vehicle. She had snacks and water for us and the hour drive out to the beach was really pleasant. The first beach was so beautiful, although we could see some of the devastating damage from Hurricane Maria. We first climbed up coral rocks to take in the view. I wouldn’t recommend this climb to any one who isn’t comfortable with hiking as the rocks are very sharp. We are two adults who regularly hike and our teen daughter is fairly fearless. We then took a short trail to the beach cave which was so cool and we got lucky that the water levels were low enough that we could enter the cave and splash around.
Glory then took us to a local river and lagoon, however we were unable to experience this part of the tour as the river levels were too high and it wasn’t safe. Glory clearly took our safety as a first priority and we really appreciated that.
We stopped at a local restaurant and loved sampling all the various dishes and getting to know Glory a bit more.
Our last stop was another local beach that had natural coves due to the rock formations and it was just so beautiful and fun to swim in the calmer waters.
Our daughter cut her foot on a rock and Glory had a first aid kit handy. We loved doing this tour and really getting insight from a local who was so proud to show us around her beautiful country. We would have had a hard time getting to all of these places on our own and feel so lucky we got to experience them with Glory.
We highly recommend this tour to active adults and families with older kids. It was so fun and adventurous!

My Aunt and I went on this tour and had an awesome time! Glory was our tour guide and was very knowledgeable about the area and went above and beyond to make our day special. It was a very unique and personalized experience. We were only in Puerto Rico for the day since it was one of the stops on our cruise. The tour was very different from the type of tours offered through the cruise line away from the bus loads of cruise passengers. We had such a great time and highly recommend Glory as a tour guide. Hope to come back next year and will definitely be using this company to see more of the island.

Well, I didn’t get to see anything. We booked the excursion days in advance, and we supposed to be picked up at the hotel at 9am. At 9:30 we had heard nothing so I started contacting the company. No response. Still have not had a response. Take your money elsewhere! I’m trying to get mine back.

Don’t do it. I booked the Lagoon, Caves, and local beach day tour 2 days in advance. We were supposed to be picked up at our hotel at 9am. At 9:30, I started reaching out to determine the problem. I never heard from anyone, so I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges. Very poor customer interactions.

Caves, beaches and food were amazing. This tour was excellent and we were treated like family. The food at the remote restaurants was delicious and affordable. We highly recommend this tour and company!
