We were very excited to see all of the frogs, a sloth, butterflies, other insects, snakes, etc. I know it’s luck of the draw, but we got very lucky! Definitely recommend if you like critters.

We did a nighttime tour with Melvin, who was incredibly patient and knowledgeable. We saw a number of animals on our CR wish list including red eye frogs, caymans, sloths and butterflies. We were especially impressed with the butterfly exhibiti where we saw caterpillars, pupae and then the evolution to butterflies. We loved the nighttime tour and the ability to see animals that we wouldn’t normally see during the day. Melvin showed us lots of insects and other animals we would never have noticed on our own. We were traveling with a guest in a scooter and the gravel path was a challenge, so be warned if you have any mobility issues. But, we loved the fact that this center was a nature center geared towards the development of animals in their natural habitat and that there are no barriers keeping any of them on the property. Would highly recommend!

This was an excellent guided tour. The wildlife preserve was small, but packed with lots of wildlife - frogs, birds, insects, butterflies, sloths etc. Melbin was a great guide, and spotted a lot of wildlife.

This was an EXCELLENT experience! We saw a sloth, spiders, lizards, butterflies, lots of different species of frogs & more! Melvin was our tour guide for the evening, he was very knowledgeable about the history and all the wildlife! He was very friendly and we enjoyed our tour with him! Melvin also took amazing photos of the animals for us on our phones! Our family was the only group there so we basically got a private tour.
I highly recommend! The health and safety of the animals is always my #1 concern before doing any tours. The animals are in the wild, they come and goes as they please, they are safe & protected here!

We enjoyed this night tour. We were part of a small group, 6 in total. The park is very small and so the animals are concentrated. You don't walk far and you see quite a bit. It had been raining so we saw frogs, toads, no caiman, some lizards, bugs and butterflies. The guide was friendly and knew enough.

This was an incredible tour through a private rainforest, meaning the animals are living there by choice, “in the wild” rather than in cages. We saw 3 sloths, many toucans, an agouti, red-eyed tree frogs, dart frogs, butterflies, a cayman, and more. It was a fraction of the cost of other experiences with caged animals, which isn’t what we wanted, and it supports an independent conservation effort by locals. Great value, and would highly recommend.

We had originally scheduled the night hike for 6:30. They moved us to 5:30 a few days before, which worked out well. They put some bananas out when we got there and several birds flew in to eat the fruit. I'm not sure we would have seen them at 6:30.
There were 5 people on our hike with Joe. There was another small group on a separate hike but we didn't see much of them. We saw poison dart frogs, a red eyed tree frog, some other toads and frogs and some insects. We also saw a heron on a nest. The largest animals we saw were some sloths (two 3-toed and a 2-toed with a baby).
