Such a disappointment. We were told by a friend who grew up in Vienna to go to a music performance in one of the beautiful concert venues. We booked tickets in the Kursalon Vienna. A couple hours before the concert the venue was changed to the state library building which we thought would be comparable. Nope! The venue looked like a place you’d see a middle school orchestra concert in. What a waste of 79 euros per tickets. We would have cancelled and gotten a refund if we’d know better.

We were very disappointed that the venue for this concert was changed from the Kursalon, with only 2 days notice, as we especially wanted to go there. However, the concert itself was outstanding and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Great music
Great Opera pieces and great dancing.

If you are a lover of this time period in Vienna you should make it a appoint to attend.
There are a lot of stairs to climb but they do have an elevator but you have to ask.

We had expected a lot more from the concert.
The concert was moved to the Palais Niederösterreich, contrary to the description. Certainly not as nice as in the planned large festive hall in the Kursalon.
But OK..!
When we arrived, we quickly noticed that 90% of the people who had booked here were Chinese or other bus groups, so we were "forewarned..."!
We found it really bad that people were constantly filming and taking photos with their cell phones during the performance.
That really spoiled the evening of music.
Strauss and Mozart would have turned in their graves!

Why don't organizers prohibit the audience from filming and taking photos right from the start, as is obligatory at every decent concert?!
But the crowning glory was that guests who hadn't booked through a bus group were left high and dry during the break. Sparkling wine or orange juice was only available for booked bus groups, was the harsh statement. When we asked, drinks weren't even available for payment. It's an absolute disgrace how you are fobbed off as a paying concert spectator here. So a two-class society! And too high prices that don't justify the poor overall package.

So the main aim here is to make money with bus groups that are ushered through with a free drink.

Once and never again!!

It's a shame, the beautiful music unfortunately became a secondary issue due to our frustration.

So keep your hands off... if you, as an individual spectator, want to spend a beautiful, festive concert evening with a glass of champagne, without taking photos on your cell phone!!

A great evening! Lovely choice of music, with the emphasis on Strauss. Just be warned - they only accept cash for the purchase of programmes or drinks (which was a pity since we only had cards with us. ☹️)

What do you think of such a concert in the land of Mozart? The nine musicians did not play in harmony and made fun of the audience, the dancers shook the air and fell heavily to the ground, very disappointed with this parody of musical art and Viennese ballets

Beautiful setting and a good variety of music, singing and dance. Just long enough. We both enjoyed it.

Unfortunately the venue, organizers and show was below expectations. I wore short sleeves and was mandated to check in coat and in return received a dirty used blanket. The staff was rude and the show did not meet the description of the event.
