kunanyi/Mt Wellington Explorer Bus is the official shuttle bus for kunanyi / Mount Wellington. There's multiple daily departures from Hobart's waterfront to the summit of kunanyi / Mount Wellington.
This is a great flexible tour option for bushwalkers and mountain bike riders. Take our shuttle bus to the summit of kunanyi / Mount Wellington, 1270 metres above Hobart. We had a group of 8 who took the bus to the top of Mt Wellington to hike back down. The ride up was fantastic - our driver was great fun and very informative and we got to see an amazing part of the world. I highly recommend the trip.

the bus driver (apologies I don't recall his name) went above and beyond, his knowledge and commentary along the way was most informative. He also gave me a map with suggested trails to follow back down the mountain, one of the most beautiful walks I have ever done.

It was a fantastic trip, our tour guide was really knowledgeable and entertaining and gave us great tips on the best way to walk back down. We were late and he called us to make sure we could catch them at the next bus stop, so grateful as we had a great experience, thank you.

A really great trip to the most wondrous views of Hobart and the surrounding area. We took a one-way trip up and walked back. There are a lot of trails to choose from and it's quite easy to take the wrong one and miss the best views and end up in the wrong place. The driver was excellent and couldn't do enough to help everyone have the best experience. As the Zig zag track is currently closed, we walked towards Springs staring at the chalet which meant we were rewarded with wonderful views of Hobart the whole time. A great day out.

I went with my two sons on the bus and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. We liked the the stories told by Christian and his warmness to the group. We liked the brief stop at the Springs to go for a hike. The One Way tour suited us because we wanted to do more hiking. The only problem was that we couldn't always hear him talking through the microphone though we mostly did. I recommend this experience rather than driving up the mountain.

This is a safe and easy way to visit Kunanyi. The driver Greg was so professional and helpful in advising me how to trek downhill to the Fern Tree. I had a one-way ticket only, but I bought another with the driver for a bit extra to take the bus to return from Fern Tree. The buses were very comfy. The driver Chris also was so friendly and passionate, he explained to me how to visit Silver Falls and come back to Fern Tree to return by the last bus of the day. It was an amazing day, with beautiful views, and great trekking!
