Join us early and be one of the first each morning to see the underwater beauty near Cook's Monument and Puuhonua O Honaunau National Historic Park. We leave early so that we can have you in the water before the crowds. Usually, at this time of day, the waters of the Kona coast are crystal clear and offer great visibility. View over 100 different varieties of tropical fish along with an occasional reef shark or sea turtle. These lively snorkeling spots are home to a variety of marine life.

Depending on the day, we may even enjoy a little sightseeing along the coastline where you can view sea caves and lava tubes. If you are lucky, you may spot a pod of dolphins or a whale, which can be found here year-round (humpback whale migration is seasonal!)

Our captain was knowledgeable and dedicated to drive that boat to all the good spots! We enjoyed snorkeling with fog free masks and top quality fins. The fish on the reefs were amazing and awesome!

The staff and crew were welcoming and organized. The snorkeling itself was marvelous - along with an amazing variety of fish, we saw an octopus, wray and turtles.

This was a great snorkel trip to two locations that are not that easy to get to on your own. Both sites had abundant numbers of fish and coral and the water was very clear. We saw a wide variety of fish species and a couple of eels. The guides were good and provided us with some history of the area, a view of a lava tube and some snacks and drinks. We were the first tour boat to Captain Cook. One private boat and a couple of canoes were there when we arrived. It was a busy place by the time we left though. There were not too many other snorkelers at the second site. We were a bit further down the coast than most of the snorkelers who get in at two step would swim.

We had such an awesome time snorkeling and we were lucky enough to see some incredible fish and sea turtles! Brent was a great tour guide and shared a lot of historical and interesting information about the areas we visited and the stories of Native Hawaiians. We felt safe on the boat and Brent helped us all feel comfortable snorkeling. He also went out of his way to try and find some dolphins or whales for us. We regret not tipping more! Mahalo!

My family of 5 had a great experience, the coral was amazing and the fish were beautiful. Easy 3-4 on the water, two separate snorkeling sites. Snacks and water provided. We all had a good time.

Amazing morning out on the water. Our guide was chilled and we were lucky to just have four of us on the boat. Both spots were amazing snorkelling and definitely worth heading out early in the morning to beat the crowds. Snacks and water served was a nice way to finish up on our way back in.

I enjoyed everything about this experience. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable. This was only the second time I’ve snorkeled but I felt safe and supported the whole time. I’m extremely nearsighted and they were able to provide a RX snorkel mask that made everything visible. Our first stop was where I saw the most fish. It was like swimming in an aquarium! There were a few unexpected bonuses such as seeing amazing lava tubes, a whale (!) and Pele!

We had a great time! We loved the small group as well as the time, kindness and attention given to us by our crew. We made it to Captain Cook long before any other boat which gave us a peaceful experience. We also stopped to see lava tubes and learned a bit about the culture and history of the island. Over all, we had an excellent and relaxing time.

The guides are very knowledgeable. We had wonderful snorkeling experience at two sites, Captain Cook and two steps. We were the first group in the place and were able to see clear sea with coral reefs and different fishes. The fresh pineapple and snacks provided are very good, especially after staying in sea water for almost 1 hour.
