This was an excursion tag I wanted to do with my wife but was not the one I was most looking forward too, however, this activity was truly amazing. Jose was our guide and he took us through the heart of the DR so we see exactly how people lived. We learned about the cigar making process and even made our own cigars. We then went horseback riding which neither of us have ever done but Jose horses were very docile and I felt like a pro riding.
We ended our activities with some zip lining across the plantations and even though I have a fear of heights, I had a blast. We then were treated to a real home cooked meal, which was very much welcomed. And it was delicious. Jose closed the day out by teaching us about how chocolate and letting us taste the raw cocoa bean. I was hesitant but it was actually very good. We tried some other products native to the Dominican Republic, the Mamajuana was my favorite and I loved the back story to it. I would greatly recommend this to anyone especially if you can have Jose as your guide.

Josè was a fantastic guide, he was very friendly, speaks great English, the horses were great and easy to ride. The zipline was fun and the guides were safe and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend booking this adventure!

This was our second time going on this trip, our first was pre-covid and that was just as good. There were 4 of us and we were the only one's on the trip, as experienced riders this gave us the opportunity to gallop. We rode through the river which was enjoyable for us and our horses! Jose was a really good guide he made us feel safe and made sure we had a great time. After the first ride we went to the ranch and did the ziplining which was great fun, we were so hot at this point though? Jose made us feel safe and gave good instructions. After this we had a Dominican lunch, the food was delicious and there was plenty of it! We then had our last ride back to the transport home. All in all a great day, I would recommend doing this trip, it was personal and great fun. At the start you visit the cigar factory which may be of interest if you enjoy cigars but we were all non smokers but good to see them being made. All in all another great trip with Jose ?

We had an AMAZING time with our personal guide Jose. He provided an excellent review of the Dominican culture. The cigar factory tour was SO much fun and very interesting. He and his assistant were fantastic horseback and zip-line guides. We were treated to a wonderful homemade traditional Dominican lunch prepared by Jose’s wife - the best fried chicken, rice, beans, and spaghetti I have ever eaten. We were given information on a variety of local grown crops and got to sample fresh ground chocolate, hot chocolate and rum. Lastly, we ended the day with a visit to the local cenote for a swim. We highly recommend this adventure! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This excursion was absolutely amazing!! We started by making our own cigars, then got to ride horses and not just go at a normal pace, we got to gallop with them too! It was stunning views the entire trail and just an incredible time.
When we got to the zipline place, we got to go on 5 different ziplines overlooking gorgeous landscapes. We were then fed the most delicious meal. We also got to learn about how chocolate was made and harvested and got to try some straight from the cacao bean. Then we took the horses back to the cars.
Overall, Hosea and his family we absolutely amazing hosts. They educated us on local traditions and made our time so much fun. Hosea also took pictures of us throughout the entire time and airdropped them to us for no extra cost!
On our drive back he also stopped by a local stand and bought us cold water bottles for the drive back to our resort. He was so accommodating and made sure that we had the absolute best time.
I would 100% recommend this excursion to anyone going to Punta Cana. You will learn so much and make memories that will last a lifetime!

We arrived to what we expected to be stables, but the horses were tied to the fence in the direct sun for hours with no water in sight. They looked to be in terrible condition. I felt so bad. They had infections and looked like incredibly dehydrated and unhealthy. We got on the horses and began on a narrow path surrounded by barbed wires. The views were nice, but since the horses were in such poor condition, they did not want to trot or anything even when we tried. The instructor was fairly kind, and he took pictures on his iPhone the entire time. but once the excursion was over, we had asked him to send over the pictures he took of us then next day, he refused and lied saying that they were deleted. I threatened to write a bad review, and suddenly he sent all the pictures over and they were "recovered". The zippines were very jiggy rigged and the towers where you walk up the stairs on were completely rusted out. I really wouldn't reccomend this place. Dont promote the neglect that they put these animals through.

Didn’t visit any cenotes. Says that’s in the description. The horse back riding is merely a snails pace walk with the horses. Food was great. Jose was a good guy. The cigar rolling is 2 minutes. Zip lining is super dangerous very archaic safety.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable & easy to follow. He was pretty funny. Loved being able to tour where cigars were being made. I did enjoy the horse back riding & zip lining aa well. 1st time riding a horse & it wasn’t so bad. Horses were very well trained. Just kind of wished the tour was more in the jungle setting. Over all thought it was FUN! Would recommend it. OHH THEY FEED U LUNCH AS WELL. An authentic Dominican meal!! You get your money”s worth.
