Booking with viator and setting up pick up was a a very simple process. After purchase, I was sent an email confirmation and the day prior to the tour I received a whatsapp message with my pick up instructions.

Now, to ATV Amazing (company who hosts the atv, zip lines and cenote swim).

When we arrived, we had a a guide explain the layout of the tour. In the midst of that, they mentioned everyone was insured on the ATVs through the booking but paying insurance for the ATVs damage was optional. After that, they had us sign in and made us pay for insurance AND a locker even for our Fanny packs that we could wear on the ATVs. They didn’t want any items (mainly cell phones) on the ATV’s “In case they get damaged” but it was honestly because they wanted to overcharge on mediocre, out of focus images taken by their photographer. This was also the case for zip lining.

Zip lining was fun (6 lines) but platforms and stairwell to platforms were all wooden and not well constructed but seemed sturdy. The last line we had the option to do what they call “the spider” which is just a net you climb across on the zip line. I needed some assistance midway through and one of the employees stepped in right away to add weight to the other side, the other employee on the platform says in Spanish to him “what would we have done if she fell”. They assumed by the color of me and my friends skin, we didn’t speak/understand Spanish. I didn’t say anything because I made it to the platform safely but it did make me question the overall safety of this place.

My package included the cenote where we had the option to zip line or jump in. I opted out of this portion due to the look of the water. It was fresh water but appeared very green and contaminated. I asked if I could ride horses instead of the cenote swim and they told me no because it was not a part of my package even though they gave us the option to add on. This wasn’t a huge deal to me but just thought I’d add.

Lunch was okay. It was a small portion of chicken fajitas with rice and bean purée. They also began to hand out water in cups though the experience listed purified bottled water. Another individual in my group brought this to their attention and the gentleman asked for proof where it says that. She showed him and has to argue with him over providing bottled water. I followed and he also gave me a hard time. I showed him my confirmation where it says “purified bottled water” is included and he said “the guy who sold you this told you wrong” and I showed him that it was purchased through viator and where it lists the above. He took photos of the confirmation and eventually instructed his staff to give me the bottled waters and the woman had the worst attitude ever. This may sound like a lot for water but the tap cup water was unacceptable.

The photos at the end were also ridiculous prices. They charged 25 USD for 1 picture and if you are a family for example of 3, you must buy a 3 pack for each individual in the picture for about 60 USD.
Overall, the experience was just OK. I had a great time on the ATVs and the zip line but I hate the feeling of being hustled for money over the simplest things. I was prepared to tip large US dollars but unfortunately their desire to hustle money from their visitors is distasteful. Would not recommend.
