Johnny's Prague Photography Tour is an award-winning walking photo tour with more than 10-year old tradition. It will fully immerse you with cityscape photography for 3 hours.
You will be guided by a local professional photographer named Jan Miracky to his favorite photography locations in Prague - both iconic as well as off-the-beaten-path. Jan will also advise you on how to improve your composition skills and teach you how to set up your camera to capture the best images possible.
We will take advantage of the best light and shoot in soft late afternoon light through sunset to the blue hour that is the best time for capturing night photos.

Jan is a masterful guide and consummate professional. He took me to picturesque areas in Prague. He modifies his guidance perfectly for his audience. In my case, I'm a confirmed amateur uncertain in the use of new equipment. Jan was able to provide tips not only on equipment settings but also ways in which I could improve my compositions.

An amazing tour with Jan. He knows the city really well so you get to maximise your time during golden hour and get tons of really good photos. His photography knowledge is also amazing and I learnt a lot from him in the few hours we spent together. Definitely highly recommended.

Jan was a fantastic tour operator and photographer. Despite the rainy weather, I very much enjoyed the tour. The photo spots he has scouted for the tour were excellent. Jan also shared his composition tips for different shots. Overall, this was a great tour for anyone who is into photography.

Recently, I had an opportunity to take Jan's photography tour in Prague. At the end of the 4 day trip/workshop - I had a sense of fulfillment. Not only did I learn so many new concepts - topics that I had read about, but never tried with my Mirrorless XT2. But most importantly, I had a fabulous time with Jan - learning and immersing in nothing but photography.
Jan's attention to details is over the top. He literally plans the day/sessions to the minutest details. It may not be an exaggeration if he actually calculates the number of steps that it would take to walk from location A to B, and how much the sun would move during the time !! Details like the angle of the sun, time of day, time to meet for breakfast are just some points worthy of mention.
Surely Jan knows the subject and has a good grip on it, but what I appreciated the most is his willingness to teach and share,
his cordial attitude, always with a smile and a sense of humor.
I know his nature and expertise will take him to much greater heights in his professional career, and I hope our paths will cross again in Life sometime.

My tour with Jan was one of the highlights of my trip to Prague. He was extremely pleasant and I enjoyed spending a few hours with him. I have taken photo tours in other cities and felt that this tour was well-planned and organized. At each location, he would show me photos on his phone that he had taken. This made it easy to understand the shot. He would offer feedback and make sure that I had gotten a good shot.
Additionally, I enjoyed that we shot an interior shot and some abstract shots in addition to the landscapes. I would definitely recommend Jan and hope to do another tour with him.

Jan’s photo tour was just what I was looking for, and he is an interesting and very personable guide. I was in Prague for 3 days with my wife and another couple. As an avid amateur travel and landscape photographer I wanted to have a few hours to myself at sunrise to photograph the beauty of Prague. I found Jan on the internet and booked him. It was great. He showed me several locations, gave me ideas and led the charge. I was able to get several shots I was very happy with, and found locations I went back to. I find using a very good local photographer helps me focus a few hours that would otherwise slip away during a vacation with friends and family. Jan is a professional, is very knowledgeable in photography and knows Prague photography inside out.

For our trip to Prague, we were looking for a provider of photo tours because we wanted to take special photos of this dream location home with us. After a quick internet search, we found Jan Miracky's website and contacted him immediately. After writing a few nice emails, we booked two tours with him: one in the evening and one right at sunrise. Both tours were wonderful. Jan showed us locations that we probably wouldn't have found on our own and gave us valuable tips and advice on photography. He particularly addressed the different levels of photographers (beginners and advanced) and explained everything to us in detail.
A tour like this (or two) is really highly recommended. You should know your camera and the settings so that you don't spend too much time explaining things during the tour. Otherwise, you should just enjoy the tour and walk through the city with your eyes open.
It is advisable to book the tours right at the start of your stay, as the lighting conditions are crucial for good photos, but don't always play along. This way, as the trip progresses, you have the opportunity to visit the different locations again under different (perhaps better) lighting conditions.

I took morning as well as evening photo tour with Jan. I was thrilled with the images I got as well as pro tips which Jan provided to me. I found Jan very experienced, very friendly and very easily approachable. Jan guided me to best spots to take pictures. What I liked most Jan took the time and explained me the history / story behind each place which connected the dots of soul, mind, and shutter. I highly recommend Jan's photo tour. Sure I will join him in future photos tours.
