Wow!!! This is a tour you do not want to miss. Micaela has such knowledge, energy and experience. I can see why this tour is held in such high regard. The stories she shares, the setting, and the multi-generational perspective she brings are so powerful. This was time and money very well spent!

The Jewish Ghetto Tour with Micaela should not be missed. Aside from learning about the expansive Jewish history in Rome, this tour is a true testament to what the Jewish community is like in the city.
Micaela is extremely personable, entertaining, fun, and knowledgeable. In the three hours (that flew by), Micaela made us feel at home in a new city – she introduced us to countless friends we ran into walking around the area, her children, and more. I've always found it hard to feel like I have a place in a country where I don't speak the language, especially in turbulent times like today where it's particularly difficult to be Jewish. However, as soon as we started the tour with Micaela, that feeling flew out the door.
I would recommend this tour to anyone traveling to Rome and will 100% take this tour again and again as I travel back to the city in the future.

Incredible tour, detailing the intricacies of everyday Jewish life in the ghetto, and how papal policy has shaped the Jewish experience in Italy to this day. The walk was excellent, with personal touches of stories from her very own family, Micaela is a fantastic story teller and a real personality. A tour that should not be missed!

Micaela is a staple in Rome’s Jewish community. Her passion for the history and on-going preservation of Jewish history and culture of Jews in Rome was incredible. Both my teenagers were inspired and engaged for the entire 3 hours!! Her tour of the Jewish Ghetto will be remembered as one of our highlights from Rome!!

This is a can't miss tour of the Jewish Ghetto, museum and Great Synagogue conducted with passion and historical significance in the long history of Rome and Roman Jewelry. Micaela, our guide, provided a lot of insight of what is like to live this section of Rome prior in the early years, during WWII, post war and today.
During the tour, we met by chance a man who was 7 years old in 1943 who lost his mother to the Germans taking his mother to a Concentration Camp in Germany and learned about his story. It was the last time he saw his mother as he was left behind.
Our group can't thank Micaella enough for her teachings of Roman Jewish History.

All you need to do is google to learn that Micaela is one of the best tour guides that Rome has to offer! Charming, brilliant, funny and kind, she lives the Jewish history of Rome and imparted so much knowledge with wit and wisdom. Micaela’s tour was the highlight of our trip to Italy!

I had a fantastic time with Micaela. She is welcoming, friendly, and, as a member of the community with deep deep family roots, extremely knowledgeable about Roman Jewish history and culture. We learned about the long history of Jews in Rome, the architecture of the Ghetto as it used to exist, the politics of relationships between Jews and the majority (from Roman times to papal rule to fascist rule to the Republic), former and current worship practices, food, and so much more. The personal touch was the best part - Micaela’s family has lived this history so she is able to share it in a way that resonates with both tragedy and humor. She probably knows someone you know. She even offered to play matchmaker for the single folks in the group! If you’re looking for a way to learn about the Jewish people in a new way, to laugh, to learn and feel history, this is the tour for you.

Michaela is so knowledgeable and entertaining. I learned so much and the 3 hours flew by. I highly recommend this tour. It was truly the highlight of my time in Rome.
