Really worth the 4 hour trip from Istanbul to Gallipoli.
Very interesting. Very moving. Very sad. But young men who fell
for nothing (on both sides) need to be remembered.
Beautiful landscapes.

Well done to the driver in Istanbul who got us out of the city with all the roads closed for Labor Day.
The tour itself was really interesting and we stopped at all the main places. We did feel quite rushed, on and off the bus at each place, but we did try to do it all in a day trip so that should be expected.
Unfortunately lunch was terrible, considering all the amazing food we’ve had in Turkey, this wasn’t nice at all.

Wonderful staff, small group size was fantastic. We could get into the smaller areas with the mini van. No time wasting waiting for people to get on/ off big bus. Guide very knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. Highly recommend this trip.

Really excellent. Perfectly punctual on pick up and communication was excellent as to locations and details. It is a long day however and you should absolutely prepare to be home between 9 pm and 10 pm as opposed to 6 pm. Apart from that it was a very relaxed day with plenty of food and drink, with Driver taking you to a small town outside of the memorials and then a guide jump on the bus with you. The trip is every bit of four hours and they do stop on the way for breakfast and on the way home for dinner for around 45 minutes each way …. The buses are excellent condition almost new Benz and they can get into places that the larger tours cannot . The Guide was very informed and extremely open to conversation. His views appeared to be very neutral and in fact I learnt a lot more about the conflict than I would ever imagined. Overall and exceptional experience but definitely pack an umbrella if it even looks like raining as you spend a lot of time outside and if it does rain You should absolutely assume your shoes are going to get muddy. You don’t need any cash necessarily although The Driver and guide was appreciated a modest tip.

If I was with a lady. I would recommend bringing some tissues or the like as some of the bathroom stop public services only and may not supply tissue .

It was plenty of time to absorb each the locations and if I was an Australian or New Zealand looking for a day trip this would definitely be on my list.

An amazing experience. Can't fault the tour, very informative guide who didn't stop. It's a big day from Istanbul and back but comfortable enough with a couple rest stops, a decent lunch and a good few hours out at Gallopoli.
A must do for ANZ's.

Well organised and very informative. Tour leader had lots of stories and shared information. Burak was our tour leader and he was amazing.
One of the best tours I have been on. My husband loved the stories and facts about Gallipoli

Really enjoyed our day. Traveled from Istanbul. Had a stop for breakfast and toilet around 930, then onto lunch. After lunch we met up with our tour guide Hasan who was brilliant. A very emotional day. We spent about 4 hours seeing the sights. Then headed back to Istanbul with a stop for dinner and toilet part way home. I would recommend slightly shorter breaks, including lunch to get to Gallipoli earlier and maybe have a little more time there. Overall would definitely recommend.

The Good:
On time pick up from our hotel.
Visited most of the significant historical sites of interest.
The NOT so good:
The provided lunch.
The biased commentary of the tour guide (very pro Turkey)
Tour guide spent too long talking about each site (see previous comment) and then only allowed minimal time for visitors to explore and reflect, take photos, visit memorials, grave sites etc. (group was mostly Aussies & Kiwis)
The very fast driving to and from Gallipoli, most of the time at 140kph
Seat belt not working, driver said they know but don't have time to fix it.
Conclusion:
What was supposed to be a once in a lifetime ANZAC experience for us, honoring our troops and the events of that time was minimized by the tour guide we had on the day, which was terribly disappointing, a view shared with us by the other Aussies and Kiwis on the same tour on the day.

My sister and I embarked on the Gallipoli tour with Crowded House Tours during our time in Turkey. We were picked up from our hotel in Istanbul at 6:30 am, the transport was comfortable and punctual. The journey was made even smoother with amenities like USB ports in the van.

A stop at a service station halfway allowed for refreshments and a chance to stretch our legs. Upon arrival at Eceabat, the tour office facilitated a seamless payment process in Euros, priced at 90 Euros per person. Lunch at a local restaurant, included in the package, accommodated our dietary needs.

Our guide Hasan led us through the hallowed grounds of ANZAC Cove, the battlefields, and cemeteries. Despite the historical context, his narration demonstrated respect for all involved, opting for authenticity over exaggeration and maintained the mana of both sides of the battle. The care shown to the ANZAC soldiers' resting places by the Turkish people was touching, and Hasan's acknowledgment of our Māori heritage added a personal touch.

The tour concluded back at the Crowded House Tours office, where we transitioned to a new van with a different driver. However we were sad to say goodbye to our amazing driver, George, who transported us safely and efficiently for most of the day.

The journey back to Istanbul included another stop at the service station, but most of the trip was spent resting. We arrived back at our hotel around 8:30 pm, ready to share the stories of our day.

Overall, the Crowded House Gallipoli tour provided a profound and meaningful experience, deepening our understanding of history and the sacrifices made. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking an enriching excursion.
