I'm afraid the very choppy waters may have altered our experience a bit. The staff was great! The snorkeling was rough - a 20-minute swim with little visibility and lots of swallowed sea water. I'm guessing calmer waters would provide a much different experience there.
The stop at Isla Mujeres was a bit disappointing I thought. It is basically a massive tourist trap. The beach club is crowded and full of people coming and going from their boats. We had enough time to walk a few blocks up and get some lunch and make some purchases at the local tourist shops.
Our boat was extremely crowded with everyone crammed into the front and little room to move.
For the money, I would have expected far fewer people joining us on our "private" catamaran trip.

This trip was amazing! Angel was an awesome tour guide and led us to some fun spots while snorkeling. The food was delicious and the crew continuously checked in on all of us to make sure we had drinks and were comfortable. Isla Mujeres is gorgeous and the trip gives you 3 hours to explore the island or find a spot on the beach. I can’t say enough good things about Angel and the crew on Boat #5.

Angel Franco was our tour guide and he was absolutely amazing! He was very knowledgeable about the area and the crew gave excellent service!

There were 6 of us on this tour. We used NEXUS tours to book this excursion. The problems with them is separate.
However when we arrived at the dock we were told we needed to pay $5 for the dock fee..... we explained that we had paid for everything at the hotel, but this got us nowhere. No one else on our tour had to pay this fee except us. But they also "paid in advance" So between being angry at the Nexus guy for telling us it was a 1 hr bus trip which was actually 2 hrs and now having to pay this $5 USD for a dock fee (btw it says 10 pesos on the bracelet)
The catamaran ride to the snorkel spot was fun. But when we stopped to snorkel we were told that anyone who is uncomfortable swimming may not go in! so half the boat stayed on... good thing they did as the water was so murky that we couldn't see past our hands. So this was a bust (ive done this tour before and usually the snorkeling is fantastic)
Next we went closer to Isla Mujeres and we were slated to Paddle board.... but we were told that we had 30 min of free swimming time. Well the waves were like 6-8ft so nobody on the tour thought it was safe to do so. BUST
Next we were dropped off on the island and were told to be back at the dock 3 hrs later to be picked up. ...... so we sat on a beach and paid for drinks for 3 hrs They also told us that we were the last tour to leave Cancun as the Harbor Master said it was unsafe. BUST
I understand that this company cannot control the weather, however they definitely know about what the weather is for all the activities they are about to do.
They should have told us when we arrived that it is not in proper conditions to go and sent us back to the hotel and receive a refund!!! We basically paid $175 CAD each to get a boat ride to another island where we had to pay for drinks BUST

Diego and the crew on boat 12 were really helpful and friendly. Always making sure you were okay and very clear on the agenda for the day. HighLight for me was the snorkelling if not long enough but saw a lot of great sealife including stingray and barracuda just a couple to mention out of all the reef life.
Only let down was the transfer driver got lost on the way to the jetty. But they re worked the day so it wasn’t shortened.

Overall, it was a great tour, staff on the boat are very nice and we really enjoyed. But we got charged $20 US dollars per person when we checked for dock use, which was not indicated for the booking confirmation and the wristband we got after checking clearly showed the message from the government: $10 peso for dock use. I asked the checking in staff there, I was told that they were required by my agency ‘Viator’ to charge $20 US dollars, which is ridiculous! Will never use this agency any more, and stay away for future.

We were on Catamaran 8. Crew was amazing! Emmnual, Captain Gabriel and rest of the team did great job! We had lot of fun..Kudos to Emmanuel for making everyone comfortable for snorkeling ... He was very professional and friendly

This was a great excursion. We stayed at the Villa Del Palmar and were picked up at the dock next door. The crew was attentive to our every need. We've taken other ...Adventure excursions and this did not disappoint.

Great staff, great experience. Snorkeling was only for 25 minutes, I was expecting more. The island was okay just kinda crowded with other people being dropped off as well.
