The highlight of my trip to south america! José and Gustavo are locals that have a great knowledge of the region & clearly are passionate about its history. They brought us to really cool secluded locations in the jungle for food/accommodation, went to some real hidden gems! Quite a busy schedule with activities/treks for the four days with early starts every day, but also time for cervezas in the evening if you fancy, which we (irish) definitely appreciated! Two very fun guides & a great group of twelve of us from Brazil, US, Japan etc, couldn’t recommend enough!

We had an amazing lifetime experience with this tour company and specifically our tour guide Jose. I could not be more pleased with his professionalism, experience, knowledge and willingness to exceed my expectations to assist my Nieces. Jose has a kind spirit and is trustworthy. I strongly recommend Jose for any of the offered tours. He is now my Inca brother! Muchas gracias Jose mi hermano!

I had the best experience on the Inca Jungle Trek with guide José Luis. The tour was the perfect mix of busy adventure with relaxing to enjoy the scenery. Our guide was super flexible to the needs and wants of the group, knowledgeable about the trail and history related, and attentive to make sure everyone got the most out of the trip (to the point of encouraging and directing those of us yet to get our ticket to Machu Picchu). Highly recommend for those looking for something a bit more engaging and exciting in their journey to Machu Picchu!

I can’t recommend this tour enough. Lots of activities, all accommodation and food was varied but I loved it all. Our guide Jose was brilliant. Very informative and helpful and a great laugh to boot. Told us all about the history of the Incas and the trail as well as about all of the nature and fauna, we even made our own coffee one morning which was gorgeous. I loved everything about this tour and thanks again Jose for being a great guide 😎👍

Very nice four days! Everything was perfectly arranged. There were many fun activities and beautiful hikes. I especially loved the overnight stay in the jungle hut with making your own coffee and then a trek through the jungle landscape. Not to forget a very caring and funny guide José!

Very well prepared team, both David, who was the guide, and José, were super attentive the entire time!
We started the itinerary leaving the inn by van to a point on the road where we took the bikes (fully equipped, instructed and safe) and went down about 45km to the city of Santa Maria, where we entered the Rafting area (optional $100 soles), there We already had lunch and equipped ourselves, we were instructed and we went with the team to the river to go rafting; After the adventure we returned to the Rafting meeting point to swim and continue the walk for another hour; I personally had an accident during the rafting route, where the rafting guide played a game on a quicksand island in the river path, but during the game I ended up kicking one of the rafting oars and making a deep cut on my foot. , almost cutting off my little finger (tragic, ugly and painful) there in the river there was no way to wash my foot, as the formation of quicksand entered through the wound, I had to endure it until I returned to the rafting base to wash the wound, the guide there was a small first aid kit (weak point) but I used hydrogen peroxide after washing the wound well under running water;
I had to be taken to the hospital (health center in the region) where the Doctor recommended that I not continue the crossing, requiring rest for 3 days, I took an injection, antibiotics and anti-inflammatories (paid for by the tour team), the team still wanted I insisted with the doctor to let me continue at least a day later, but the doctor was very concise and precise because I really was unable to continue with the injury; I insisted that I would like to return to Cusco so I could recover and try to return to The tour in Aguas Calientes(access village to Machuu Pichuu) the tour staff arranged a taxi that took me to Cusco where I rested until the penultimate day of the trip, where we rested and had dinner in warm waters to climb the Machuu Pichuu hill the next day! Accommodation in Aguas Calientes is very precarious, a somewhat neglected place, with a musty smell, the receptionist was almost never on site and when he was, he didn't show any friendliness! When the guide took us to Machuu Pichuu the next day, I got on the bus as I'm still recovering from the cut on my foot, we took the tour of Machuu Pichuu, it was cool but the place was very crowded even though it was low season which takes a bit the Vibe of the place, it is a bit chaotic to take photos at viewpoints as there is a crowd and competition for photo spots!
Furthermore, I recommend the team, even though I didn't do it every day, I wasn't offered a discount, nor was I offered accommodation in Cusco during my recovery (since the package included accommodation, breakfast, lunch and dinner during the journey. Us
On days that I couldn't participate due to health reasons, I wasn't offered any of that, neither accommodation nor food, even though I had already paid for it; Luckily I had a small reserve of money that
Helped pay for room and board during my recovery
Cusco;

The entire trip was organized flawlessly, every day was filled with attractions. Our guide Jose explained everything thoroughly and took care of us. During the trek, he told us the history and traditions of Peru, willingly answered all questions, and always made sure that everyone felt good. We highly recommend it 😁

We had a fantastic 4 day/3 night tour with Jose at Encuentros Peru Adventures.

The jungle tour was very activity-packed (biking, rafting included), and less hiking than we had originally thought. Some of the hiking was on the actual Inca trail. The activities were great for bonding!

We enjoyed the jungle homestay on the first night, which really contributed to the experience. This comes with the 4 day tour but not the 3 day tour.

Jose was an a great guide and we had an amazingly fun group of 10!
