We originally scheduled for three because it’s a cocktail tour, but had to move due to weather conditions to noon. Honestly, the boat shouldn’t have went out it was quite miserable. The swells were big and although I took my Dramamine I spent the 2 1/half hours feeling awful. It’s also difficult to see whales in those conditions, even if they are out there because of the whitecaps. At the end of the trip we did see a couple whales, but by then all I wanted was to go back in and get off the sea. The staff did their best to make it pleasant but again I think the tour should’ve been canceled.

Although we didn’t get to see any hump backs, captain Amanda shot us across to the other side of the island extending our tour because there were other whale sightings. There were so many we were surrounding! Her team of ladies were super accommodating and great to get to know.

Crew and captain were great, we did end up seeing a whale or two towards the end. My only complaint is drink service (alcohol) doesn’t start until about 45 minutes to an hour into a 2 hour tour so it wasn’t what I was expecting.

We loved our whale watching, cocktail tour with Kauai Sea Tours! We were a party of 7 whose ages ranged from 69 years old to 5 years old. The boat was accommodating and perfect for all ages. There was plenty of bench seating, shade, and rails to hold onto. We saw so many spinner dolphins and humpback whales on our short trip. We highly recommend this tour!! This company takes unnecessary risks to customer safety that are unacceptable to me.
We booked a trip for my 5 year old son and he was really excited to ride on the boat and see the whales. But, the morning of the trip there was both an island-wide flood warning and a small vessel advisory warning due to high, gusting winds. I called to ask to move our time to later in the day or later in the week, because I was worried about the safety of my 5 year old son. I was told that these are acceptable conditions for the trip. I was also told that I can not reschedule and that I would lose 100% of the $390 I spent.
Kauai Sea Tours, you should have let me reschedule. I mean come on?!?! It is a big decision for a parent to trust your company out on the open seas with their child. I am definitely not willing to trust your team in the future. Other parents out there…don’t trust them with your family either.

OMG saw so many whales! We started following a heat run?? A bunch of male killer whales chasing a female. So crazy and spectacular. The captain and all of the crew were super knowledgeable about whale ecology and even shared some stories of killer whales in Hawaiian culture. Crew always made sure we had drinks. Mai tais are strong LOL make sure you know what you're sea sickness levels are. I was afraid of motion sickness but I was having too much fun I forgot!!

Amazing tour! We saw a very active pod of whales and followed them a great distance! The crew was determined that everyone would have a great experience. And the music was awesome too!
