Along your journey, you will be taken to a snorkeling destination, depending on the weather conditions that day. Snorkel time is between 30-45 minutes conditions permitting. Our reservation was first pushed by a day due to Covid-related understaffing. Then when we actually went, the boat broke down about 10 minutes in and we turned around.

Booked this tour with my now fiancé after our engagement and was looking forward to it. The day before they called and said they didn't have enough people for the 7:45 sailing we booked and said we had no choice to go into the 6:45 sailing. We were flying from Oahu and our plane lands at 7. We had no way to get there in time. I appreciate the refund we got but we paid for that certain time and we should have gotten it. Just because there wasn't enough bookings for our time slot doesn't mean you get to ruin our engagement trip that we were so looking forward to.

The crew was great and the views were amazing! We stopped to snorkel at one location. Swam with a turtle, and some beautiful tropical fish, right over a coral bed. We also saw dolphins and whales! Due to the weather, which they have no control over, it was a bit choppy and a bumpy ride. But we still had a great time 😊

Tour just meh, quiet boring tbh. We were supposed to go to the Nepali coast and they had big winds come in creating big swells so they had to take us the opposite direction (south) which is fine, we had read it might be a possibility in winter. At this point they did allow us a refund if we wanted to, but It sounded like the day was still going to be fun, but it was literally just a boat ride out and back. The captain stopped for us to snorkel in one place that there wasn’t even a fish in site. You can go to any shore and find fish, not a fish. Then we went back and finished over an hour early. The tour was meh fine just definitely NOT worth $200 per person, not one bit. I would have paid $60 for it but not a chance $200. Should have gotten the refund when we could.

We saw whales (including a baby!), dolphins, a turtle, and even an unexpected cliff paraglider! Great experience. Great crew. Beautiful weather!!

The views along the Napali were spectacular! And we all -- my daughter and two teenaged grandchildren -- learned alot from the captain. No one can control the weather -- especially in winter! So we had big rollers, especially on the way back to port. I tend to get sea sick but this wasn't as bad as I'd feared. The captain's clear messages framed our expectations perfectly, and it wasn't as bad as it could have been. It was a wonderful trip!!

I wrote a longer review on Google if you need the details but . . . Because this company did not seem to consider safety or concerns over extreme weather and boat changes (we booked the larger boat on purpose), we have to give them one star. This could possibly be a fantastic tour but we did not go because of those two issues.
They refused to refund our money even though the boat change was "last minute" and we had to agree immediately without time to consider the implications. Upon further reflection, we should not have agreed to a smaller boat during a week of inclement weather, heavy rains and flash flooding. Other tours we were booked on that same week cancelled and happily issued refunds. Kauai Sea Tours should have done the same.

We were a bit frustrated at first because we had originally booked the Lucky Lady catamaran. But 2 days before our excursion we were told that the boat was in dry dock. We were given the option to go on the Imiloa. The weather was iffy but the tour went forward.
It turned out to be an amazing excursion.
The crew was absolutely awesome. The captain gave us some exciting times. We saw sea turtles, a true very large Manta Ray, and a pod of spinner dolphins who glided right along our boat. The Na Pali coast was stunning. Partially obscured by clouds near the top but that made it even better. We could really picture this area as Jurassic Park. There was about a 45 min snorkel time. We didn’t snorkel but those who did said it was amazing.
Loved loved this excursion. Highly recommend Kauai Sea Tours and the Imiloa.
