This was a great experience. Our tour guide, Fussy, was very knowledgeable and funny. He picked us up at the meeting point and drove us to the glacier. Along the way, he explained how glaciers were formed, and how they are evolving. Once in the glacier area, he made sure that safety was priority number one, giving tips and advise, that may seem common sense for many, but unknown by others. Once inside the glacier, he took us to great picture spots to capture all the beauty of the moment. 10 out of 10

Wonderful experience with Glacier Trips on the Ice Cave Tour with Steinard. He was very accommodating to everybody in our 6ppl group, making sure we had all the time we wanted at different spots along our cave exploration, and he even offered to take our photos using the best photo tricks, to bring home nice memories. Thank you Steinar and Glacier Trips!!!

We are a group of 6 adults and 2 kids and had an amazing experience with Glacier Trips. The guide was really patient and provided us with lots of information about the glacier and ice caves we were visiting. He also helped us with giving us tips for right spots for photos. My 9 year old son was really engaged with the experience and all of us enjoyed this beautiful natural wonder of Iceland. Highly recommended trip with this company!

It was an amazing experience to get to see the glacier up close with a guide who grew up in the area and was familiar with how the glacier itself is constantly changing and evolving. As the warming climate is causing the glaciers to retreat each year, the caves and canyons shown one year will not exist the next year, so this is actually a very unique experience in terms of what you get to see. Most certainly a highlight of our trip to Iceland!

Our guide Stefan was a true passionate. He is a bit shy at first but we loved the fact that he really took time to explain us a lot of things, showing us the impact of global warming, taking pictures of us and making sure we were always safe. The ride to the glacier is bumpy but we loved it ahah! Thanks! We also recommend the less crowded cave, we were lucky that our tour was moved a little on the schedule to avoid the crowd so we really enjoyed but Stefan has shown us some picture of the less known one and we would recommend it!

This was an awesome experience - the colours in the ice were amazing. Going with a small group was excellent - our guide also timed our arrival at the cave so as to avoid it being more crowded which was greatly appreciated. I would definitely recommend a glacier tour through this company - Glacier Trips.

We had an incredible time, a real highlight of our trip. Definitely something we’d recommend to anyone travelling the south coast.

We originally booked ice caves, but were lucky to be upgraded to the full glacier walk too. Looking back, the glacier walk provides better value for money and was our favourite part of the whole tour. We’d definitely recommend paying the difference and getting the full experience.

Pickup location wasn’t 100% clear (as there are many tours starting from the same car park) but other tour operators pointed us in the right direction. Communication was really good and we rang a couple of times in advance with different queries and they really helped us out.

The drive to and from the ice caves is towards Hofn and in winter this is where you’re able to see reindeers, so be prepared with your camera.

Stefan was really knowledgeable and friendly. We loved the dad jokes and tried to get the most out of our time while we were there. He was very patient and had great ideas for photo opportunities.

Crampons are included as part of the package, but we’d thoroughly recommend bringing your own “micro spikes” for the car park as well. It was incredibly slippery! Make sure you bring appropriate footwear too (walking boots, not trainers) and waterproof trousers and coat.

Also, definitely don’t forget to bring snacks when you go. We ended up being out for 4/5 hours and would have been stuck without some food to keep us going.
