Natural ice caves form during summer and vary in form and size each year. The crystal clear ice cave is often lined with black volcanic ash from eruptions long ago and is embedded in the ice.

Amazing!!! The weather was perfect and the view was incredible!! We went to the ice cave and then we could sit on the glacier and enjoy the beautiful scenery!! Highly recommend!!

Absolutely amazing tour . My sons loved going up in this gigantic red truck . We drove through a white out. Great tour and commentary . Clean and just one of those Iceland experiences that you wouldn’t want to miss . My kids called it the red monster truck . It drove through piles of snow . The ice cave was awesome . Don’t think twice . Book it . They were very communicative when I checked about weather updates and a cancelled tour . The tours in Iceland are all weather dependent . I’m so happy that they took this tour out when we were there

We had a fantastic trip on the Sleipnir monster truck. Progress is sedate but the views en route to and on the glacier are amazing. We did experience a mechanical malfunction in the sub-zero temperature but our guide was brilliant and we got back safe, albeit slightly delayed. The trip was brilliant nonetheless.

Very cool truck. Fascinating scenery, narrated well by our guide. Crawling into the ice cave was one of the coolest things I have ever experienced. Imagine yourself surrounded above and below by 300 year-old ice, perfectly lit. Magical!

I can honestly say that the experience was absolutely amazing!
Driving this unique vehicle through deserted areas fully covered with snow was an adventure in itself. And of course, visiting a real ice cave is an experience that only a few can feel - completely unusual.

Was really looking forward to this excursion and sadly was unable to see the glacier or ice cave. Bad weather came in forcing us to turn around and go back. The guides really tried their hardest from getting out and walking to find the road to calling for snow mobiles to guide but it was too bad. It was our last day but for sure if I come back I will book with them. They did provide a refund since we couldn’t see anything.

The tour guide and driver were so friendly and full of great information and stories! We had a fantastic time seeing the beautiful scenery on the drive up to the glacier, and then being able to go into the ice cave was an unforgettable experience. My glasses fogged up but their handrails helped me easily walk down the steps. 10/10 would recommend to others!

The views were amazing the bus a little overheated on the way out and then a little cooler on the way back. The only problem is that you have to drive to get to Gulfoss and then you are on a big bus so quite a lot of time in a vehicle. But very glad to have done it, I would have liked to do the quad biking

Odin’s Horse went over the river and past the one tree to get to the ice cave & it was amazing! The snow was deep and we saw other people get stuck but not our truck! It did take longer than usual to get to the ice cave but it was worth it! Be aware you have to crawl in backwards and the stairs down are very steep. You also can’t stand all the way up in the cave. We had hot chocolate and Jökla(like Bailey’s) and little donuts to warm up. Our group made snow angels while we waited. The ride back went much faster. It was amazing to be there knowing the glaciers will be gone someday! Thank you!!!
