This sled/kart dog tour is a shared, family friendly, dog ride tour. Either on snow or dry land, depending on Mother Nature’s generosity. With the help of your guide and musher, you will feel the power of the huskies pulling the sled or the customized cart through the fields in the South Coast of Iceland.
The tour includes a 35 -45minute husky ride tour, including a photo break . This is one of the first few kennels in Scandinavia with Greenlandic dogs, an opportunity you cannot miss. Small-group tour.
This tour requires you to rent a car.

Was incredible. Very informative and our girls had a great time as well. Highly recommend. Tour guide was great and everyone got to ‘steer’ and ride in back of sled.

Great experience from start to finish. After receiving the email confirmation of our booking we sat back and looked forward to the trip. We were then emailed the day before with a confirmation time that we would be getting picked up from our hotel at.
Upon arrival at the site we were given excellent googles and a warm suit ( even though we were wrapped up good ) to make our sledding trip even more comfortable.
During the ride Klara made everyone feel welcome and ensured we got maximum enjoyment. Very knowledgeable about the dogs and terrain.

The guides are very friendly- they tell us about the different dogs and their breeds and their personalities. The ride is the perfect length. The guides are good about stopping and letting everyone switch positions in the sled. A very special experience. I would definitely do this again.

We had so much fun!!! From meeting the puppies to enjoying the ride. The kids and adults had a blast riding in the frozen lake. Once in a lifetime experience!

Quite possibly one of the best experiences and trips to do. The pickup and drop off was great and it didn't take that long to get to the base camp. We were collected within the time stated and received an email the night before advising the colour/ model of vehicle and driver’s name so we knew exactly who/what to look out for at a busy pickup time. We were given the opportunity to wear cosy suits- take them as it was -7C and then there’s the wind chill on top. I would recommend bringing a snood and some cosy gloves- note, you do get hairy gloves from petting the dogs- no issue with that though. The dogs are amazing and well looked after. They are super friendly and majority of them love the attention so love being clapped and given belly rubs. We got to spend time with them before for around 15 mins and then after the sled for around 30 mins. They can stand temps down to -40 and clearly loved their job as they were so excited and just wanted to run. Clara was our guide who was fantastic- very fun and enthusiastic. She was very informative throughout the whole sled ride and she loves talking about the dogs so answered every question we had. There were 5 of us on the sled- 3 sitting, 1 standing and then the driver. We stopped to ensure everyone got to stand and “drive”, which was a lovely surprise. All other staff we encountered were brilliant- friendly and so happy. This was a once in a lifetime trip for us so was well worth the money. I highly recommend.
Note- Book in advance. I looked and contemplated whether I wanted to spend so much on an already expensive holiday.. it become full and sold out. I was gutted. I decided to put myself on the waiting list, not once thinking it would happen, and then 3 weeks later, I woke up to an email with availability on my 30th birthday. BEST DAY EVER.

The whole day from the off was amazing. The journey from the hotel to the base camp went very smoothly. Once we got there we were team 2 so spent the first half an hour petting the dogs before setting off on the sled. The staff were super friendly, (as were the dogs). The dogs were very well cared for and had a great relationship with the staff. Just an all round amazing experience, would 100% recommend.

We did a private tour for our wedding. I loved playing with the dogs and we got the most amazing pictures. So happy we did it
